The Fortnite The Walking Dead crossover is pretty old at this point, but it’s never too late for a resurgence. Tons of collaborations get multiple waves nowadays, and even those that were introduced so long ago can still get new items. That’s the case for the hit AMC show’s crossover, as the collaboration now has new life following the game’s most recent update. It is poised to get a whole lot bigger.

Fortnite x The Walking Dead Collaboration Growing Per Leaks
There are reportedly going to be new skins in the crossover per ShiinaBR, a renowned leaker. Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne got skins already. That means Negan, Glenn, Maggie, and the rest of the crew could land in the Item Shop at some point.
That’s not where the new crossover ends, though. There’s also going to be some collaboration in Creative mode. Leaks suggest there will be Creative experiences with walker NPCs, i.e. the slow-moving zombies from the show, and more, including new build possibilities. Players can make creative maps and publish them on May 16. They’ll earn 12% of the revenue from doing so.
In these experiences, there will also be new TWD weapons. A Shiva Shotgun and Lucille, Negan’s infamous barbed-wire bat, will be available in the game. That seems to indicate that at least one of the new Fortnite skins will be Negan, but that has not been leaked yet. We don’t yet know who is going to be included. However, there are tons of characters who haven’t yet been given a skin.
These are leaks, just like the new game mode, so take this information with a grain of salt. However, The Walking Dead as a television universe continues to expand with spin-offs and more, so it would make sense for Fortnite to capitalize. This is a prominent television franchise, and Epic Games already has the connection. Sometime between now and May 16 is when all this will presumably go live based on the leaks.
