Dune: Awakening is confirmed to be getting a full release on May 20, 2025, on PC, putting to bed any speculation of an early access launch. Over two years after its reveal, Dune: Awakening is set to bring an MMORPG spin on the highly popular sci-fi franchise, Dune. Spearheaded by Funcom, a Tencent-owned developer, the upcoming game has been on the radar of fans since being announced in August 2022.

Set in an alternate timeline, the open-world survival game puts players into the shoes of an unnamed prisoner on a quest to track down the Fremen, while working with either House Atreides or House Harkonnen. Back in February 2025, Funcom revealed the PC release date and other information about Dune: Awakening, which would land on consoles later down the road. Recently, the devs further added to the growing hype of the online game by sharing the nature of its release, post-launch plans, and more.
