- Others aren’t convinced and think Meero is having a panic attack.
Andor will return for what will be its second and final season on April 22, and an epic new trailer hyping its arrival dropped this week. Upon closer inspection, some Star Wars fans think there’s a tease in there for what would be a huge cameo, and since the timelines and story beats line up, they may be onto something.
Andor’s second season will be the show’s last as it will almost certainly end right before where Rogue One begins on the Star Wars timeline. If you haven’t seen Rogue One, I won’t spoil it for you, but do yourself a favor and go watch it right after you’ve finished reading this. It features a group of rebels attempting to steal plans for the Death Star, hence its construction being the focus of the trailer for Andor season two.

Since Andor season two will take place between Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One, Darth Vader exists in his most formidable form alongside whatever Cassian and the rest of the rebels are up to. That feasibly means Lord Vader might show up in Andor’s second season, and there’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment in the trailer below that some fans think hints at Hollywood’s greatest villain making a cameo appearance.
Andor Season Two Will Be Here Before You Know It
Will It Include Cameo Appearances From Non-Andor Characters?
Lieutenant supervisor Meero is shown in what appears to be either a small room or an elevator very briefly, and while she’s on screen, the Empire officer is clawing at her neck, seemingly unable to breathe. As pointed out by sw_holocron – and they’re not the only one – that could be Meero desperately trying to fight off someone force-choking her.
While other Sith have made force-choking a part of their dark arsenal throughout Star Wars history, Darth Vader is the most famous user of the heinous maneuver. Not only that, but when Andor season two falls on the timeline means if anyone is force-choking members of the Empire who have messed up or stepped out of line, it’s going to be him.
Not everyone is convinced. Other fans think Meero appears to be having a panic attack. She is under a tremendous amount of pressure in her job throughout season one, and that pressure will likely be ramped up in season two. Andor is also the exception to the rule when it comes to Star Wars media that doesn’t need to rely on big cameos. If Darth Vader is going to make an appearance, you can bet it will be for a better reason than to simply get a big, short-lived reaction.
