All Secret Parts in Armored Core

All Secret Parts in Armored Core

With the release of Armored Core on PlayStation Plus, plenty of players will be taking on this first entry in the legendary series for the first time. While the game can be brutal to new players, it thrives on customization and careful planning, encouraging you to customize and adjust your AC for each mission you take on. Since the game allows you to sell parts back to the shop for the same price you originally bought them for, you can freely switch around and experiment with different parts as long as they fall within your overall budget.

While many of Armored Core‘s parts can be purchased from the shop, some of its rarest and most sought-after AC Parts can only be found by tracking them down in missions. From the ever-present Moonlight Greatsword and the terrifyingly powerful WG-1-Karasawa to vital internal systems like the GBG-XR Generator or the QX-AF Fire-Control System, these parts are fantastic additions to your loadout options.

FromSoftware rolls out a small patch for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, adjusting several aspects of the game across all platforms.

WR-L24 (Back Part, Large Rocket)

WR-L24 is a Back Part found in the mission “Eliminate Strikers.” It’s the easiest of the hidden parts to find, as it’s directly behind you at the start of the mission, accessible by hopping over a barrier.

As for the part itself, the WR-L24 is a fantastically powerful Large Rocket weapon with the longest range of any back weapon in the entire game. Its sheer damage and excellent range make it terrifyingly effective in many of the game’s missions, so it’s fortunate that you can grab it so early.

WG-1-KARASAWA (Right-hand Weapon, Laser Rifle)

The legendary Karasawa Laser Rifle reappears throughout the Armored Core Series, with this being its first appearance. You can find it in the mission “Destroy the Fuel Depot.” After destroying the tanks in the first large room, and moving into the second room, you’ll need to blast the fuel tanks on a raised area above the far wall, and then head up there and look around for the Karasawa.

The Karasawa is a tremendously powerful laser rifle that fires quickly and can obliterate most enemies in a couple of shots, though it’s also quite a heavy weapon to lug around. Grabbing it when you get the chance can make later stages much easier, though it’s important to note that it’s incompatible with the LN-SSVR Humanoid Legs for some reason.

HD-X1487 (Head Part, Defensive Head)

HD-X1487 is a Defensive Head Part found during the mission “Guard Freight Train.” It’s inside one of the cargo containers in the depot next to the train tracks, more specifically, one of the ones furthest away from the tracks. Blow them open until you find the part inside one of them, then grab it.

This Head Part boasts a “Full Range of Sensors”, but the lack of auto-map functionality makes navigation much more awkward. Of course, if you know the rough layout of a mission, or just have a really good sense of direction, that’s unlikely to be an issue. The lack of radar, however, is a bit more troubling, though longer-range enemy detection isn’t a complete necessity in this game and you can always use a radar back part if you need that functionality.

B-T001 (Booster, Regular Booster)

BT-T001 is a Booster Part you can track down in the mission “Guard Factory Entrance.” It’s hidden in a container in the northeast corner of the map, and the game will tell you that you’re out of bounds as you get close to it.

As a powerful but light booster (the lightest in the game, in fact), this booster is a very efficient choice for lightweight AC builds. The low weight allows you more flexibility elsewhere on your AC too, so it can be a great pick when utilizing heavy weapon parts too.

WM-S60/4 (Back Part, Small Missile)

WM-S60/4 is a back part you can find in the mission “Secret Factory Recon.” Hidden in the southwest section of the map and considered “Out of Bounds” by the heads-up display, you can find this part inside a breakable container. It’s a back-mounted missile weapon that fires four small missiles at once. It has decent attack power and can lock onto four targets at once, making it a solid option for multi-targeting or for focusing damage on a single target.

RZT-333 (Back Part, Radar)

Armored Core 1_RZT-333 Part Mission

This next part is a bit special since it requires you to fail the mission to obtain it. The mission in question is “Guard Wharf Warehouse”, and you’ll need to turn around and break open the warehouse you start next to, then head inside and grab the Radar off the ground.

The RZT-333 is a back-mounted radar part that provides the AC with long-range enemy and missile detection capabilities, making it a valuable tool for assessing your combat situation. It has a range of 11,700 and the Radar Type is “Octagon.”

QX-AF (FCS, Wide and Shallow FCS)

To track down the QX-AF FCS part, you’ll need to enter the first “Exterminate Organisms” mission. From here, you’ll need to take left turns whenever possible until you reach a long path with openings on the left and right. Continue straight ahead until your only option is to turn left again, and you’ll find the room with the Queen in it. The FCS part is on the ground in this room.

FCS parts act as your AC’s targeting computer and determine the size and shape of the lock box. This FCS provides a wide horizontal lock box and supports two simultaneous lock-ons with a fast lock-on speed.

WG-FG99 (Right-Hand Weapon, Flamethrower)

To get hold of a WG-FG99 Flamethrower, you’ll need to take the mission “Destroy Intruders” and hop down ahead of you, landing on a bridge slightly lower down. Turn left and look below the bridge you jumped from a moment ago to find a hole in the wall. The container here can be smashed open to find the WG-FG99.

This weapon excels at close-quarters combat, and its incredibly short range (the shortest of any right-hand weapon in the game) ensures that’s the only way you’ll use it. Of course, if you’re good at close-quarters combat, this is the perfect weapon for you.

GBG-XR (Generator)

To get the heaviest generator, with the highest maximum charge, you’ll need to track it down during the mission “Destroy Plus Escapee.” Right as you start the mission, hop to the right, off the lift, and hover down to a walkway (image 2), then hop and hover down to a second, lower, walkway where the part is sitting (image 3).

This generator is heavy but powerful, with the highest maximum charge of any generator in the game and excellent output too, making it a fantastic choice for any AC that can handle the weight.

WX-S800-GF (Back Part, Dual Missile)

This fantastic dual missile part is found in the mission “Retake Air Cleaner.” In the open room shown in the second image, you need to blow open the circled vent and fly up into it. Inside the vent, you’ll find the WX-S800-GF.

This powerful missile part fires 6 missiles with a single lock-on, and has the highest single-hit attack power of any double back weapon, though it also has the highest energy drain to compensate. It is also the lightest weapon in that category, which is helpful for weight management if you have a generator that can handle it.

LS-99-Moonlight (Left-Hand Weapon, Blade)

The legendary Moonlight Greatsword, in all its glory and reimagined as a laser blade, can be found during the mission “Kill ‘Struggle’ Leader.” During this mission you’ll eventually have to fly up through the ceiling, leading you to a long corridor with fireballs constantly shooting down it. You’ll need to blow a hole in the floor part of the way down this corridor and then hover down to the very bottom of the chasm beneath the floor. Turn around and explore the bottom of the chasm to find an Altar with the LS-99-Moonlight on it.

The LS-99-Moonlight is quite simply the best laser blade in the entire game, and well worth the trouble of tracking it down, with the highest power and lowest charge drain of any laser blade. In exchange for its incredible power, it has the highest energy drain of any laser blade. If you have the Blade Wave Human Plus ability, this blade will also fire blue explosive beams when swung, making it even more deadly.
