Once every couple of hours, the season will change in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, helping to make the world feel much more alive and dynamic. Unfortunately, as there’s not really a proper way to change the seasons manually, players may have to wait up to six in-game hours if they fail to complete a season-specific activity before the next season rolls around, which can obviously be very frustrating.

Season-Specific Side Quests in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Thankfully, there are only a couple of side quests that are tied to a specific season or seasons. As the name suggests, much of the “The Winter Raiders” side quest (triggered by speaking with Rin in Gobo, Kii) can only be tackled during winter, while the Suika No Bakemone target in the “The Yokai” side quest (triggered by speaking with Mamushi in Hills of Meeting, Yamashiro) can only be found in summer and fall. It’s worth noting that the Rin romance questline will progress each time the season changes, although as it’s not tied to any one specific season, players will need to wait around for the season to change regardless of when they tackle each quest.
