Though it doesn’t take a terribly long time to beat Atomfall, achievements and trophies can significantly extend players’ time spent in-game. It might only take a few dozen hours to beat the game, but if you want to complete every Atomfall trophy and achievement, you will have to complete several playthroughs to complete relatively obscure objectives – and you can be locked out of certain achievements depending on your decisions.

Avid Collector
Find 10 comics
To unlock the ‘Avid Collector’ achievement, Atomfall players must find any ten comic books throughout the world. Typically, you will find these sitting out in the open in hidden areas, though they can rarely be found in stashes, lunchboxes, and other containers.

Detectorist
Pick up the metal detector
To unlock the ‘Detectorist’ achievement, Atomfall players must find a Metal Detector. This can be found in several locations throughout Atomfall.
Homemade
Find and learn 10 recipes
To unlock the ‘Homemade’ achievement, Atomfall players must find and learn any ten crafting recipes. Keep a keen eye out in trader inventories for recipes you have not learned, and pick up the ‘Gunsmith’ skill to learn a variety of gun upgrade crafting recipes.
Orna Mental
Find and destroy 10 Garden Gnomes
To unlock the ‘Orna Mental’ achievement, Atomfall players must destroy at least ten Garden Gnomes. More than a dozen Gnomes can be found exclusively within Wyndham Village, but they aren’t exactly sitting out in the open.

Find 5 buried lunchboxes
To unlock the ‘Packed Lunch’ achievement, Atomfall players must find five buried Lunchboxes. To find Lunchboxes, you must have a Metal Detector. Lunchboxes can be found throughout every area of Atomfall, even in the final area and the Interchange, so keep an eye and an ear out for the beeping icon on the bottom-left of the screen when you are close to a possible Stash spot.
Radiophonic
Find 5 audio recordings
To unlock the ‘Radiophonic’ achievement, Atomfall players must locate at least five audio recordings. These can be found in a few locations throughout Atomfall, particularly in Protocol camps, the Village Hall (Protocol Documents Chest), Medical, Robotics, and other areas once inhabited by boffins and military minds.
Refer To Manual
Learn 12 skills
To unlock the ‘Refer To Manual’ achievement, Atomfall players must 12 twelve skills. Pick up Training Supplements from B.A.R.D. crates and other locations to get Skill Points, which can then be spent on Skills. You must find Skill Manuals to unlock new skills that you can learn across all four categories.
Reverse the Polarity
Find the Signal Redirector
To unlock the ‘Reverse the Polarity’ achievement, Atomfall players must find the Signal Redirector, an invaluable tool for exploration. There are two locations where players can find a Signal Redirector in Atomfall.
We Want Information
Read 50 notes in the Quarantine Zone
To unlock the ‘We Want Information’ achievement, Atomfall players must find and read a total of 50 notes. Notes can be found absolutely everywhere in Atomfall. Look in crates, chests, on walls, and on tables to easily meet this requirement before the end of the game. You must read these notes, not just collect them.
Where There’s Muck There’s Brass
Find 10 metal detector caches
To unlock the ‘Where There’s Muck There’s Brass’ achievement, Atomfall players must discover ten Metal Detector caches. Like the Lunchboxes, these stashes can only be found with this tool as they are buried underground. Keep an eye and an ear out for the beeping Metal Detector icon on the bottom left of the screen to find stash locations as you journey through the dense world of Atomfall.

Unlock the Interchange
To unlock the ‘The Interchange’ achievement, Atomfall players must simply unlock access to The Interchange. There are several Interchange Entrances throughout the world, and getting through any one of them will unlock this achievement.
Alpha
Power up Data Store Alpha
To unlock the ‘Alpha’ achievement, Atomfall players must restore power to Data Store Alpha in The Interchange with an Atomic Battery. Bring a Strange Tonic with you to counter the Infection spores that fill this room. When the power is restored, the vents will clear out the Infection clouds.

To unlock the ‘Bravo’ achievement, Atomfall players must restore power to Data Store Bravo in The Interchange by using an Atomic Battery.

At One With The Soil
Escape the Quarantine Zone with Mother Jago
To unlock the ‘At One With The Soil’ achievement, Atomfall players must follow these steps to get the Mother Jago ending:
- Find Mother Jago in the Old Mine in north Casterfell Woods
- Recover Mother Jago’s Book from the Druid Camp and Castle Ruins
- Take the Offering to the Speaking Cave
- Talk to Mother Jago again to learn of the Growth Supplement
- Recover the Growth Supplement from the Medical Tunnels below the Interchange, which requires Dr Holder’s keycard.
- Feed Oberon with the Growth Serum, then return to the Castle Ruins pit
Back Door
Escape the Quarantine Zone with Dr Garrow
To unlock the ‘Back Door’ achievement, Atomfall players must follow these steps to get the Dr. Garrow ending:
- Find Dr. Garrow from the Protocol Prison in southwest Skethermoor. Become trusted by Captain Sims to gain uninhibited access to this area.
- Take Dr. Garrow’s Signal Redirector from the Security Room, then free her.
- Meet Dr. Garrow in the Central Processor of the Interchange
- Find Dr. Garrow’s research notes in the Robotics facility below the Interchange
- Enter the GEN ERA command into the Casterfell Dam Data Store
- Destroy Oberon, then return to Dr. Garrow

Do you require the Operator?
Escape the Quarantine Zone with the Voice on the Telephone
To unlock the ‘Do you require the Operator?’ achievement, Atomfall players must must follow these steps to get the Voice On The Telephone ending:
- Pick up the phone at any point before entering the Windscale Plant, or the phone at the very start of this endgame area. You do not need to answer every phone.
- Destroy Oberon, then return to the entry to Windscale to talk to the Voice On The Phone again
- Return to the starting bunker in the south of Slatten Dale
Escape the Quarantine Zone with Joyce Tanner
To unlock the ‘Emergency Extraction’ achievement, Atomfall players must follow these steps to get the Joyce Tanner ending:
- Meet Joyce Tanner in the secret protocol bunker just southeast of the Old Mine in northern Casterfell Woods
- Power up The Interchange (specifically Data Store Charlie), then talk to Joyce Tanner when she moves to Charlie
- Re-activate all three Radio Towers in Slatten Dale, Casterfell Woods, and Skethermoor
- Enter the GEN MOVE command in the Casterfell Dam Data Store
- Return to Joyce Tanner, choose to continue trusting her, then head into the Windscale Plant
- Extract a sample of Oberon, then return to Joyce Tanner
Not Expecting A Call
Escape the Quarantine Zone without answering the telephone
To unlock the ‘Not Expecting A Call’ achievement, Atomfall players must completely avoid picking up the telephone throughout their entire playthrough. Don’t pick it up at the beginning, don’t pick it up at the end, and upon your escape you should get this achievement.
Operation Atomfall
Escape the Quarantine Zone with Captain Sims
To unlock the ‘Operation Atomfall’ achievement, Atomfall players must follow these steps to get the Captain Sims ending:
- Gain Captain Sims’s trust by telling him about the Church murder
- Interrogate Dr. Garrow for information within Skethermoor Prison
- Return to Captain Sims to learn that a radio part was stolen
- Enter the Speaking Cave in Casterfell Woods to find the Radio Part
- Return to the village hall and learn about Operation Atomfall
- Destroy Oberon, then return to Captain Sims
Oubliette
Escape the Quarantine Zone with Dr Holder
To unlock the ‘Oubliette’ achievement, Atomfall players must follow these steps to get the Dr. Holder ending:
- Find the Church Cellar Key in the Medical area below the Interchange
- Open the Forgotten Cellar below St. Katherine’s Church and be friendly to Dr. Holder
- Retrieve Sample One from the lower area of Medical, which can only be accessed with Dr. Holder’s keycard
- Return the sample to Dr. Holder, then go to the Central Processor after he says he will need some time to work
- Spray the Toxin on Oberon, then return to Dr. Holder
Quick Exit
Escape the Quarantine Zone in under 5 hours
To unlock the ‘Quick Exit’ achievement, Atomfall players must beat the game in less than five hours. Essentially an Atomfall speedrun, this is not actually too hard to do if you know where to go. Technically, all you need to do to finish the game is:
- Collect five Atomic Batteries from anywhere in the world
- Unlock all Interchange entrances
- Get the Signal Redirector
- Get at least one Strange Tonic
- Power up The Interchange and the Central Processor
- Destroy Oberon and follow the Voice On The Phone ending
Combat Achievements In Atomfall
Any Old Iron
Completely destroy a robot
To unlock the ‘Any Old Iron’ achievement, Atomfall players must destroy a B.A.R.D. robot after it becomes overheated. Normally, you would pull the Atomic Battery out of its back. Instead, when it powers down temporarily, continue firing at its weak spots (or use grenades) to completely obliterate it.
Caught Red-Handed
Cause an enemy to drop their Molotov cocktail
To unlock the ‘Caught Red-Handed’ achievement, Atomfall players must kill an enemy before they are able to throw a Molotov Cocktail grenade, causing the grenade to fall to the ground and explode at their feet. Find any roaming band of Outlaws, make a save, and antagonize them until one lights up a Molotov. NPCs will typically announce when they are about to throw a grenade.

Fast Bowl
Kill 10 enemies with a thrown weapon
To unlock the ‘Fast Bowl’ achievement, Atomfall players must kill ten enemies with any thrown weapon. These don’t have to be weapons specifically good for throwing, like hatchets or shivs. Throw any weapon at an enemy, including a cricket bat, two-handed axe, club, or other melee weapon, to count toward this achievement.
Grand Slam
Take out at least 5 enemies in one explosion
To unlock the ‘Grand Slam’ achievement, Atomfall players must defeat five enemies at once with the same explosion. Find a Military Grenade, then go to the row of homes in Slatten Dale at 26.4E, 78.4N (just south of Molly). A band of about seven Outlaws regularly spawns at this location. Bide your time in stealth, wait for them to group up and walk down the road, then frag ’em.
Hit For Six
Redirect a thrown grenade with the cricket bat
To unlock the ‘Hit For Six’ achievement, Atomfall players must smack a thrown grenade back at an enemy using a cricket bat. One of the hardest achievements to time, head to the same Outlaw group that tends to spawn at the row of homes in Slatten Dale at 26.4E, 78.4N, and make a save.
Antagonize the Outlaws until one of them throws a Makeshift Grenade at you, and smack it away with a cricket bat. You can find a cricket bat in the village green in Wyndham.
Target Practice
Get 6 kills with the MK.VI Revolver without reloading
To unlock the ‘Target Practice’ achievement, Atomfall players must kill six enemies in a row without reloading their MK. VI Revolver. It doesn’t matter what tier of MK. VI Revolver you have. Find a group of enemies (like the Outlaw group that tends to spawn in Slatten Dale at 26.4E, 78.4N), make a save, and try to line up each of the gun’s six shots at enemy heads to instantly kill them and secure this achievement. Re-load the save if you miss even a single shot.
Miscellaneous Atomfall Trophies
Batteries Not Included
Power up a deactivated robot
To unlock the ‘Batteries Not Included’ achievement, Atomfall players must overheat a B.A.R.D. Robot, then take out its battery. This de-activates the robot. Then, loot the robot, open your backpack with the robot’s inventory open, and put an Atomic Battery back in to power it back up.
Burglar
Use the Signal Redirector to unlock 5 doors
To unlock the ‘Burglar’ achievement, Atomfall players must find the Signal Redirector (either in the Skethermoor Prison or the Windfall’s Crate), then use it to open five locked doors. Medical, Robotics, and certain Protocol areas are great places to find locked doors that can be unlocked with this tool.

High Tea
Consume a Cornish pasty, English Tea, and a slice of cake in 30 seconds
To unlock the ‘High Tea’ achievement, Atomfall players must consume three traditionally British foods within the span of 30 seconds. You can get a Cornish Pasty and Cake from the village baker Iris, and English Tea from Morris the village shopkeep.
Make Do and Mend
Upgrade a firearm to pristine condition
To unlock the ‘Make Do and Mend’ achievement, Atomfall players must upgrade any gun to the highest quality: Pristine. Pick up the ‘Gunsmith’ skill, then combine two Stock guns of the same type to create a Pristine gun. You will need at least four Rusty versions of a gun to combine and upgrade it to the highest tier. Two Rusty weapons turns into a Stock weapon, and two Stock weapons turn into a Pristine gun (alongside other necessary materials).
Mate’s Rates
Find 5 traders in the Quarantine Zone
To unlock the ‘Mate’s Rates’ achievement, Atomfall players must find five trader locations.
- Look for Molly at her trader camp in the far northwest of Slatten Dale
- Look for Billy Gorse just to the south of the Old Mine, and southeast of the Casterfell Dam, in Casterfell Woods
- Look for Reg Stansfield in the slate mine in the far east of Slatten Dale, or the far west of Skethermoor (the mine interconnects these two regions)
- Look for Corporal “Bootsy” Hughes on the second floor of a marked house along the main path that leads south into Skethermoor from Wyndham Village
- Find Nora Thorndike in her barn in the far northeast of Skethermoor
Unplugged
Extract the battery from an overheating robot
To unlock the ‘Unplugged’ achievement, Atomfall players must defeat a B.A.R.D. Robot, then pull out its Atomic Battery to fully de-activate it. Aim for the face sensor on the machine gun robots, and the gas canisters on the flamethrower robots, to quickly overheat them. Run to the rear of the robot and hold down the loot input to pull out its battery.
