A brand-new trailer for WIT Studio’s upcoming sci-fi anime, Moonrise, has built up some excitement for the series, which is set to premiere on Netflix on April 10. The anime, which is produced by the same studio as the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, also boasts character designs by the legendary Hiromu Arakawa, author of Fullmetal Alchemist and The Heroic Legend of Arslan.

The trailer, which runs for just over two minutes, reveals the premise of the upcoming series, as well as the impeccable visuals and the kind of insanely fluid animation that made WIT Studio a household name, as the trailer gives us a taste of the showdown between Moonrise protagonist Jack, and the series antagonist Bob Skylum.

A Team of Heavyweights in Production

Moonrise is the creation of Japanese author Tow Ubukata (Bye Bye Earth) and is produced by WIT Studio, who will also be adapting the upcoming reboot of YAIBA: Samurai Legend with Attack on Titan seasons 2 and 3 director Masashi Koizuka as series director; animation production by Ryōma Kawamura, original character designs by Hiromu Arakawa, adapted for animation by Attack on Titan character designer Ayumi Yamada, assisted by sub-character designer Megumi Tomita; Ayumi Yamada and Satoshi Kadowaki as chief animation directors; main animators Takaaki Chiba and Daisei Kudō; music by Ryō Kawasaki, who composed the music for both seasons of Brain’s Base production To Your Eternity.

The brand-new Moonrise trailer showcases the work of action animators Takuma Ebisu, Satoshi Kimura, Yūko Sera and Ken Imaizumi, each of whom have various animator, key animator and director credits in multiple titles hailed for their animation quality and brilliant sakuga, titles that include Akudama Drive, Attack on Titan, Kaiju No. 8, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, The Heroic Legend of Arslan, and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.

The upcoming Moonrise is set to premiere on April 10. It will be available on Netflix.
