Where To Find Primeval Regression Orbs In The First Berserker: Khazan

One of the most exciting elements in a Soulslike is how you build your character. With unique equipment sets that provide numerous benefits, skill trees, and the classic Souls style of leveling up, The First Berserker: Khazan is no exception to this rule.

Prepare to die.

Nearly every Soulslike will force you to commit to your decisions, but they also tend to provide players with one way or another to take back previous decisions and respec. The First Berserker does this as well, but is far more generous than the typical game in this genre. We’ll walk you through how to respec your character, and help you locate everything you need to do so.

How To Respec Your Skills

One of the niftiest aspects of The First Berserker is how freely you can shift points between skills. At any time, you can reset all your skill points from the Skill Tree menu. Or, if you like, you can pick and choose which skill points to reclaim.

While the controls to perform these actions will vary across different versions of the game, on controllers, clicking the left stick while in the Skill Tree menu will strip away every skill, while hovering over a skill and pressing the Potent Blow button will reclaim points from that specific slot.

That means you can utilize one build while traveling through a dungeon, then, once you hit the boss room, remove the skills that are useless for big fights and redistribute them. Or, if things are going completely south, reconfigure your entire build from the ground-up. The flexibility is tremendous, which should help you avoid any analysis paralysis.

Unlike your skill points, it is a little trickier resetting all your stats, but with the help of a Primeval Regression Orb, it is still quite possible. Once you use one of these items, you’ll reset all your stat points will return to the base level, and all your Lacrima will be returned to you. Of course, this will permanently destroy the Primeval Regression Orb, but there isn’t a limit on how many you can aquire, so that isn’t a problem.

The description of the Primeval Regression Orb is a little confusing, as it says it will “reset a stat”. However, we assure you, one orb will reset ALL your stat points.

Where To Find Primeval Regression Orbs

The bard in the forgotten temple in The First Berserker Khazan.

While you’ll encounter a Primeval Regression Orb in the wild here and there, the best place to get an orb is by purchasing it from the traveling bard. The gentleman shuffles around the world, popping up here and there. Thankfully, once you find him in a location, he will always appear there. So, you can revisit his shop as frequently as you like.

The first time you’ll find the bard will be in the Forgotten Temple stage. After entering the Forgotten Temple itself (this is the area after the second Blade Nexus), head up the stairs in the center of the temple. Once you reach the next floor, take a right. After defeating two dragonkin Sharpshooters, look for a break in the banister.

Once you find the break, hop down to the level below. You’ll be able to see The Bard now. Go talk to him, and you’ll be able to purchase a Primeval Regression Orbs for 10,000 gold. He’ll have three orbs in stock at a time, and you can revisit him to restock.

Later, you’ll find him in the bard at the very end of the Strange Stench stage. This is the best location to revisit him through, as he is just a ten-second run away from the final Blade Nexus. When you revisit him in the future, this is his most convenient location.
