There are so many amazing Pokemon. Whether their design is cute, cool, or majestic, there is incredible art for all of them, and some of that artwork can be found in the cards featured in Pokemon Pocket, especially in the Mythical Island expansion.

Pokemon Pocket: Every Item And Tool Card In Space-Time Smackdown, Ranked
These cards are useful tools.
It doesn’t matter how popular the mon is or even what the card can do in battle. All are given wonderfully crafted visuals that players can collect. But which ones are the most beautifully illustrated out of the 86 card contenders? The list below will judge that based on art only: no consideration for rarity or strength.
10
Exeggcute
Rarity: One Diamond
Most of the artwork you will find in Pokemon Pocket, for the physical trading card game too, will feature something that looks illustrated. However, some make use of real-world locations and tactile resources to recreate the Pokemon, and this Exeggcute is just one example of that.
Clay, yarn, plastic, and resin: these different resources get used in creative ways to “paint” a scene you could believe in both this world and the Pokemon one. So, while there isn’t much happening on this card. It is an Exeegcute sitting on the grass at the end of the day, but having a photograph instead is a difference that can catch more than just some eyes.

Rapidash
Rarity: Two Diamonds
The detail in this image is mesmerizing. You could keep coming back to stare at this piece and always notice something different. The flames of Rapidash’s tail and mane, the depth and lights in the night sky, down to the reflective surface of the water beneath them.

This list could stretch on for endless paragraphs about each element that works to bring this scene to life. And if you throw some flair effects on this card, it will turn heads. Or flip some heads. You’ll want this card to flip some heads.
To obtain flair, you will have to go to My Cards and exchange card duplicates and Shinedust for the different cosmetic options. You’ll equip flair when you are building your deck.
8
Drednaw
Rarity: Two Diamonds
The reasons Drednaw finds their way onto this list are very similar to the reason Rapidash has. There is so much beauty displayed in such a small amount of space on the trading card. Between the water, the foliage, and even a reflection of Mew flying overhead as Drednaw watches them going by.
It gives you a good sense of what Drednaw’s environment is like, trudging through the grass and leaves to make it to the crystal clear water they live near. And that they’re unafraid of mythical Pokemon encroaching on their space.
7
Servine
Rarity: Two Diamonds
Many Pokemon cards showcase the mon they’re focusing on as a three-dimensional creature in a three-dimensional space. But this Servine card flattens that down into a funky, cool, 2D design that is very different and welcome when held up to the traditional pieces that are far more common.

Despite being set against greenery, they are a grass Pokemon, after all, but Servine pops from the background, even letting you make out the vines they are extending to use in their Vine Whip attack. The card might not be made for everyone, but it’s one that broke away from the mold in a fantastic way.
6
Florges
Rarity: Two Diamonds
Some context is needed to explain why this card deserves the spot it’s in. As many will know, Florges is part of an evolutionary line with three Pokemon in it:
- Flabébé
- Floette
- Florges
In Flabébé’s card, you can see that they are floating in a field that only has grass stretching across the background. Then Floette is pictured in the same location, but now the landscape has more flowers blooming, filling about half the field. Then, as you can guess, Florges has now caused the entire field to be filled with pops of color from so many wildflowers. While it is a simple story to tell, it’s beautiful and makes their card more worthwhile.
All three of the cards above, Flabébé, Floette, and Florges, are all designed by the same artist, Cona Nitanda, allowing them to continue this scene seamlessly.
5
Mew
Rarity: Three Diamonds
This card is so pretty that it’s also been made into a player icon you can unlock. Mew seems to be floating in water. And if not, it’s the most incredible galactic scene where bubbles are floating around Mew with a bright burst of light above, casting a blue and purple-hued rainbow across the card.

While all that is going on around Mew, their actual depiction is adorable. They have a very soft and gentle look about them, and that expertly depicts Mew’s fun-loving and kind spirit.
4
Dedenne
Rarity: One Star
You should never give Dedenne a cookie. It looks like they might take it anyway as a horde of the adorable, Pikachu-like Pokemon fill the image, most of them eyeing a table full of delicious-looking food. Another one is in the upper left of the card, keeping watch in case any pesky humans come home.
On the plus side, your electric bill might be cut down significantly as it shows a Dedenne on the right side of the picture powering up a blender. If a mouse infestation allowed you to power your whole home, more trainers might let the little rascals run around freely all the time.
3
Salandit
Rarity: One Star
If Pokemon ever decided to do a wildlife documentary-style video or movie, this is what it would look like. If you look at this card and hear Morgan Freeman or David Attenborough describing the morning routine of young, male Salandits, then you get it.

Whether you get the vision or not, this is still such an amazing card that looks like it could be filmed, not just painted or drawn. The Salandit look so realistic, and you can nearly feel the heat rising from the picture, thanks to the desert-like background.
2
Celebi ex
Rarity: Three Stars
Ignoring the fact that this is an immersive card, this stand-alone image is so tranquil and warm that it doesn’t even need a movie to make it worth collecting. With the circular frame wrapping around the scene, it looks like a portal into the Pokemon world, and Celebi is hoping you’ll dive in.
It is revealed in the video that this is part of a much larger scene with many Pokemon gathered around this calm watering hole. Those visuals echo what Celebi already portrays in its soft expression, and that is an invitation, not just to the artwork but also to the game.
1
Mew ex
Rarity: Two Stars
This expansion is filled with the mystical forests these Pokemon find themselves in or calling home. And that rings true of the ruins that Mew is resting on. This scene looks like it could have been a trainer quickly snapping a picture as Mew rests, scratching their ear.
The lighting depicted on the card matches the border so well, bringing some of that rainbow into the ethereal setting. It makes everything around Mew, not just themselves, look magical, all while making everything look and feel calm, even if you find yourself in the heat of an online battle. Who’d want to hurt Mew anyway?
