On top of many successful movies, the Star Wars franchise has also seen a whole host of incredible games that have brought its universe to life.

A possible fourth season of The Mandalorian is rife with speculation. Between the upcoming film and other projects, fans don’t know when they might see more of their favorite Star Wars pairing on Disney Plus. They can assume, though, that if Mando and Grogu return to their series, it will be alongside a host of other names and faces. Here are some Star Wars characters who may appear in Season 4 of The Mandalorian if it happens.

8

Grand Admiral Thrawn

The Biggest Bad In The Mandalorian Era

  • First Appearance: Heir to the Empire (1991)
  • Played By: Lars Mikkelsen

The Star Wars shows on Disney Plus have generally focused on a similar era (with a couple of exceptions) between the fall of the Empire and the newer film trilogy. While Grand Moff Gideon has taken on a major villainous role across all three seasons of The Mandalorian to date, this is less likely to continue now that Grand Admiral Thrawn re-entered the picture in Ahsoka.

Thrawn’s return in live-action form means that there are few Star Wars projects set within the timeframe of Ahsoka that won’t be dealing with him. His return is all part of building to a grand finale for the current slate of shows, and Season 4 of The Mandalorian Season 4 would likely continue to deal with the fallout he is destined to cause.

7

Snoke

When Will The First Order Begin To Rise?

Star Wars Supreme Leader Snoke sits on his throne in The Last Jedi
  • First Appearance: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)
  • Played By: Andy Serkis

Although there hasn’t been a lot of connection between the recent Disney Plus projects and the sequel trilogy that the galaxy is heading toward, it does have to happen sooner or later. With a time jump likely occurring before a potential fourth season of The Mandalorian, fans could expect to start seeing more signs of the impending First Order at some point, and a cameo or appearance by Snoke would set this up perfectly.

Although the sequel trilogy films and Snoke himself were a divisive part of the franchise, Star Wars needs to send characters like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka in that direction at some point, if only so fans know whether they survive the events of that next galactic war. Snoke’s character could use more fleshing out, and the way he raised such a massive force needs to be studied at some point, especially if Mando is working for the New Republic.

6

Boba Fett

A Return To Tatooine?

  • First Appearance: Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)
  • Played By: Temuera Morrison

Although The Book of Boba Fett didn’t work out as well as fans were hoping, the lead character is set up as a leader on Tatooine, a planet that the Star Wars franchise is unable to keep away from for long. Boba Fett returning in a future Mandalorian season could be a good means of showing what happened next for him, particularly if the next season was to be set after a time jump.

Star Wars: Din Djarin’s Best Quotes In The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian, Din Djarin, has some iconic quotes during his adventures in the Star Wars galaxy.

Boba is the sort of warrior who Din Djarin and Grogu will turn to if Thrawn is threatening the galaxy on a large scale. As a leader, Fett seems to be both compassionate and capable enough of raising forces to stand directly in the path of Thrawn, and, obviously, he will have no qualms about siding with Din Djarin and other Mandalorians in this fight, even if some of them might question his wearing of the armor.

Bo-Katan Kryze

What’s Next For Mandalore?

Bo-Katan_with_her_helmet_off_in_The_Mandalorian
  • First Appearance: Star Wars: The Clone Wars 4×14 (2012)
  • Played By: Katee Sackhoff

Although Din and Grogu have settled elsewhere than on Mandalore itself, The Mandalorian still has questions to answer regarding the mysterious location. Bo-Katan may no longer wield the Darksaber, but her sighting of a Mythosaur in the Living Waters makes it almost a certainty that she and Mandalore will be revisited soon.

Bo-Katan has already had a fascinating journey throughout the Star Wars saga, and it clearly isn’t finished yet. While the action of a future Mandalorian season may not bring them to the birthplace of the Mandalorians frequently, this story will need to be resolved at some point.

4

Hera Syndulla

The Leader Of Adelphi Base?

  • First Appearance: Star Wars Rebels 1×01 (2014)
  • Played By: Mary Elizabeth Winstead & Vanessa Marshall

Although Hera Syndulla is a character more likely to appear alongside Ahsoka in more upcoming projects, the crossover between these characters is going to be a major part of the Star Wars universe over the next few years. This means that a character like Hera, who is a higher-up in the New Republic, could easily appear in a fourth season of The Mandalorian.

Now that Din Djarin is working alongside the New Republic and Carson Teva, he is a part of Adelphi Base. It has been rumored that Hera as a leader in the New Republic could appear at some point to help characters like Din Djarin. However, with Sigourney Weaver appearing in a leadership role within the New Republic in the upcoming film, it is possible that she could be the main face giving out missions to the lovable pair.

3

Sabine Wren

The Other Mandalorian/Jedi Crossover

  • First Appearance: Star Wars Rebels Short #1 (2014)
  • Played By: Tiya Sircar & Natasha Liu Bordizzo

Sabine Wren is a fascinating character who is very similar to Grogu in some ways. She is the only other current Mandalorian-raised child with force-sensitive abilities. As such, the two would likely become fast friends if they were ever to meet.

7 Darkest Star Wars Characters, Ranked

Star Wars includes many dark characters, but not all of them are swayed by the Dark Side but through tragedy and other evils.

Though Sabine is currently trapped far outside the main Star Wars galaxy alongside Ahsoka, the pair could easily meet with Din and Grogu as part of the ongoing conflict against Thrawn. Other factors that make this likely are the established relationship between Ahsoka and both Din and Grogu and the fact that all of these characters are linked to both the Mandalorians and the New Republic. This gives them a huge number of potential meeting places if Sabine makes it back to the right galaxy.

2

Ezra Bridger

A Hero In Need Of Help

ezra-bridger-ahsoka Cropped
  • First Appearance: Star Wars Rebels Short #4 (2014)
  • Played By: Taylor Gray & Eman Esfandi

The fight against Thrawn, which Din and Grogu may become embroiled in at some point, will likely feature Ezra Bridger. This young hero was stranded out beyond the stars with Thrawn for years, but he has managed to return to the right galaxy alongside the devious villain.

Although Ezra has never met Din or Grogu, the connection between Grogu and him as two of the last remaining Jedi could help bring them together in a fourth Mandalorian season. All quadrants of the galaxy will unite to stand against Thrawn, and Ezra will likely begin by seeking help from Hera and other New Republic fighters, and this now includes Din and Grogu.

1

Leia Organa

An Unlikely Story That Needs To Be Told

Leia In Star Wars The Force Awakens
  • First Appearance: Star Wars: A New Hope (1977)
  • Played By: Carrie Fisher

Although Carrie Fisher has passed on, CGI has brought characters back from the dead in the Star Wars franchise on multiple occasions. A major piece of Leia’s history involves how she went from a politician and leader within the New Republic after the Empire fell to being a member and leader of the Resistance instead.

While it isn’t known if this part of Leia’s history will ever see the screen, Luke’s de-aged appearance in Season 2 of The Mandalorian makes it possible for major characters such as her to return. This could light the internet on fire and give a fourth Mandalorian season a real surprise boost.
