Orna Mental Achievement Guide (Gnome Locations)

There are a handful of collectibles in Atomfall that are tied to achievements. Lunchboxes can be found with the Metal Detector throughout the game, while Comic Books can be found in stashes and hidden in out-of-the-way areas. Gnomes, on the other hand, can only be found in one location.

Atomfall: Deluxe Edition & Preorder Rewards

Atomfall Deluxe Edition and Quarantine Edition offer players special in-game rewards, DLC access, and the ability to play Atomfall early.

In Atomfall, Garden Gnomes are collectibles that exist exclusively within Wyndham Village, and if you “collect” enough, you will get the ‘Orna Mental’ achievement. This guide explains what to do with Gnomes and where to find all Garden Gnome locations in Atomfall – just try to ignore their screams.

What To Do With Gnomes In Atomfall

Destroy Garden Gnomes For An Achievement

There are at least a dozen Gnomes to find in Atomfall, but players don’t exactly collect Gnomes – players must destroy Gnomes. That’s because the Gnome achievement ‘Orna Mental’ requires you to obliterate at least 10 of these figurines.

You can use a melee weapon, a gun, or a bow to destroy Gnomes, but it’s best to use a melee weapon so you don’t waste ammo. When you find a Gnome, destroy it, and you’ll hear a hilariously high-pitched scream.

This is your confirmation that the Gnome has been counted toward your ‘Orna Mental’ achievement progress.

We don’t know whether the Gnomes in Atomfall are alive, but considering how weird the game can get (and its roots in folk horror), it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that the Wyndham Village Garden Gnomes are living, breathing, pain-feeling sentient beings – or maybe their screams are all in your head.
