Black Panther and Moon Knight are the latest heroes set to receive new skins in Marvel Rivals. Ever since its launch late last year, Marvel Rivals has taken the online multiplayer world by storm, obtaining 40 million players in a little over two months. The game has been releasing a steady flow of new heroes, maps, and cosmetics, and is currently in its first full season, named Eternal Night Falls, which saw the introduction of The Fantastic Four to the roster of playable Marvel characters.

One of Marvel Rivals‘ many melee-based heroes, Black Panther is a duelist who excels at diving the enemy backline from the flanks. He has several lunging abilities that are useful in letting him close the gap quickly on foes, but can also come in handy when disengaging from a losing scuffle. Moon Knight, on the other hand, is more of a ranged hero, and is one of the most commonly picked DPS heroes in Marvel Rivals throughout Season 0 and the current first season. Able to glide with his cape and hit enemies from around corners, he can become a serious headache for opposing teams if left uncontested.

Marvel Rivals has a golden opportunity ahead of it if NetEase wishes to capitalize on one of Overwatch 2’s most controversial mistakes.

Both of these popular Marvel heroes are about to get fresh new looks in Marvel Rivals. The game’s Twitter account revealed new skins for Moon Knight and Black Panther that are set to arrive in the game on Thursday, March 27. Moon Knight’s new Fist of Vengeance skin is based on the look from the hero’s 2022 Disney Plus series. As for Black Panther’s skin, Thrice-Cursed King, it seems to be based on Season 1’s Dracula theme, as T’Challa’s vampire-like pointy ears, fangs, and yellow eyes stand out along with his gothic silver armor.

New Marvel Rivals Moon Knight and Black Panther Skins Revealed

While it wasn’t mentioned in Marvel Rivals‘ tweet, both of these skins will likely only be available in the in-game shop as microtransactions. The Moon Knight skin is interesting in particular considering Marvel isn’t moving forward with a second season of Moon Knight on Disney Plus. Moon Knight’s appearance from the show being brought to Marvel Rivals is far from any sort of hint and even further from confirmation that a second season could be happening. Since Marvel Rivals‘ launch, there have been many MCU costumes that have made their way into the game, like Thor’s look from Love and Thunder, Cap’s Avengers: Infinity War getup, and the Guardians’ Vol. 3 suits, so this Moon Knight skin simply seems like par for the course.

With Season 1 of Marvel Rivals expected to wrap up on April 11, fans should be hearing about what’s in store for Season 2 in the coming days and weeks as March comes to an end. There will surely be a number of new Marvel heroes, maps, and more set to be added to the game when Season 2 arrives, so fans should keep an eye on Marvel Rivals‘ social media for any new info.
