LTA North 2025 Split 2 – Introduction
The LLTA North 2025 Split 2 is the second split of the 2025 competitive year for the League of the Americas following the creation of the new league.
The eight participating teams will fight to earn a spot in the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational as well as the Esports World Cup tournament, which will take place during the summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Compared to other regions, the LTA North will use a particular format for the competition, featuring three different stages.
When will the LTA North Split 2 start?
The LTA North Split 2 will be kicking off on April 5. There is currently, however, no official ending date. Given however that teams must be locked in for the Mid-Season Invitational, and considering the schedule of other major leagues like the LPL and LCK, we should expect the LTA to end in late May or early June.
Format Explained
The first stage will see the eight teams compete in a single round robin of Bo1. Based on the results, teams will be split into two groups of four, using a snake system to distribute the teams fairly.
In the second phase, the group stage, there will be a single round robin within each group, featuring Bo3 matches. This will lead to Week 7, where the top 2 teams of each group will face each other for seeding while the bottom two will play elimination matches. In the end, six teams will advance to a double-elimination playoff bracket, featuring Bo5s series using the “Hard Fearless Draft”, meaning that champions can only be picked once by either team during the series.
