The limited-time return of Fortnite‘s original map was so popular that Epic decided to make it a permanent addition, cycling through its chapter one seasons like it’s 2017, and now 2018, all over again. One of the best parts about those seasons coming back around is the second chance, or first if you weren’t playing seven years ago, to unlock anything you might have missed.
Fortnite OG’s battle passes aren’t identical to the original ones on which each revived season is based, but until now, each one has included a handful of something Epic has dubbed remixed skins. Revised versions of the original unlockable cosmetic items that are similar enough to the originals that people who don’t have them want them, but different enough that those who have the original versions want them too.

Since Fortnite OG season three is less than 24 hours away, we now have a teaser and know some of the returning skins that will be a part of its battle pass. The first two seasons of Fortnite OG have included three remixed skins, and even though the original version of season three had a lot more to choose from, the teaser for OG season three suggests that pattern will continue.
Fortnite OG Season Three’s Remixed Skins Have Been Revealed
Raven, Rex, And Rust Lord Are Back, But They Look A Little Different
As highlighted by Fortnite News, there are three skins in the teaser that appear to be remixed versions of cosmetics that could be unlocked during season three’s first go around in 2018. Rex, which is Jonesy in a dinosaur outfit, has been given a makeover, and there’s a much more metallic-looking Raven at the back of the pack as they’re skydiving. We get a closer look at the Raven Remix skin at another point during the teaser which makes it look like the character is wearing a suit of armor.
As Rex and Raven have appeared in the Item Shop since their respective season three introductions, the Rust Lord skin that will be joining them in OG season three is the most exciting of the three. The original Rust Lord was locked behind season three’s battle pass which means it has never, and likely will never, return. However, it has been remixed multiple times, and this latest version of the skin is a female astronaut take on the original design.
Currently missing from the OG season three lineup is The Reaper. One of the more famous Fortnite skins not tied to an outside IP due to its uncanny resemblance to John Wick, The Reaper was a reward for hitting level 100 during chapter one, season three. An official John Wick skin has been added to Fortnite since The Reaper’s introduction. Fortnite OG season three will begin on March 25, 2025.
