Jinwoo has gained access to the power of raising the shadows of the dead, and this makes him even more threatening than ever before. Although the extracted shadows are slightly weaker than their original self before death, fans know that they’re overpowered still.
Jinwoo Gained Access To Multiple Powerful Shadows In Season 2
- So Far, Jinwoo Has 5 Major Shadows
- Jinwoo Has Had Access To Some Amazing Powers
In Season 2, Jinwoo has raised some absolutely monstrous shadows and they help him in combat against even the strongest of enemies. His shadows also enable him to clear even S Gates by himself, which just goes to show how impressive this ability truly is. Although there are most definitely more shadows to follow, these are the shadows that Jinwoo has raised so far:
Igris — The First Shadow Jinwoo Extracted
Igris was the very first major shadow that Jinwoo extracted in Solo Leveling Season 2. This came after his battle against the Knight who was guarding the empty throne. Although Jinwoo was weaker than him at the time of the fight, he still managed to defeat him. Following the battle, Jinwoo raised Igris’s shadow, although he failed initially. Igris is one of his strongest shadows, by far.
Tank — The Shadow Of The Ice Bear Leader
Inside the Red Gate, Jinwoo fought against some very dangerous characters, and the Ice Bear Leader was certainly one of them. At the end of the fight, Jinwoo decides to raise the bear’s shadow and named it Tank. Tank is, as the name suggests, a tanky monster and has, on many occasions, guarded Jinwoo with his life.
Iron — Kim Chul’s Shadow
In the very same Red Gate, Jinwoo also acquired the shadow of Kim Chul, an A-Rank Hunter who was presumed to be the leader of the group that set out to explore the dungeon. Having Igris kill Kim Chul, Jinwoo raised Iron, and this allowed him to take on the Ice Elf Barca in combat on even footing and even beat him.
Tusk — The High Orc Kargalgan’s Shadow
High Orcs are always a major threat in Solo Leveling, and fans got to witness Jinwoo face off against one when he accompanied an A-Rank group on their way to clear the dungeon by beating the boss. Little did they know that Kargalgan was a monster.

Jinwoo set out in combat against him and defeated him despite his immense powers. Jinwoo raised the shadow of this monster and named him Tusk or Kiba.
Kaisel — Baran’s Mount Dragon’s Shadow
Jinwoo faced off against Baran the Demon King in combat in the Demon Castle, and this was an incredible fight for the fans to witness. Naturally, Jinwoo was victorious in this battle. Although Jinwoo didn’t raise the Demon King himself, he most certainly raised his wyvern mount, Kaisellin, and ended up naming it Kaisel. With the power of flight, Jinwoo can now fight aerially and even travel extremely fast from place to place.
