What are the Dune Awakening system requirements? With the May 20 release date now confirmed, the system specs for this upcoming multiplayer survival game will be a relief for most gamers. Running the game on the lowest settings will be manageable for anything built in the last seven years, although the best frame rates and resolutions will require a higher spec rig.

With Nvidia DLSS 4 support mentioned, you’ll also need one of the best graphics cards to be able to max out this game at the highest settings. The range means that casual gamers with older PCs won’t be left out of the fun, with even old Nvidia GeForce GTX cards able to run Dune Awakening on low settings.

Here are the Dune Awakening minimum and recommended system requirements:

Minimum (1080p @ 30fps) Recommended (1440p @ 60fps)
OS Windows 10 64-bit (or newer) Windows 10 64-bit (or newer)

AMD Ryzen 3 1200
Intel Core i7-10700K
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
AMD Radeon 5600XT
Intel Arc A380
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
Intel Arc B580

Storage 60GB SSD 75GB SSD
RAM 16GB 16GB

If you’re ready for battle, take our Dune Awakening system requirements PC benchmark test to answer the question… Can I run Dune Awakening?

The Dune Awakening minimum requirements aren’t too shocking by modern standards, leaving plenty of older gaming PCs still in contention. You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (with 6GB VRAM), AMD Radeon 5600 XT (also with 6GB), or Intel Arc A380 GPU for this game, paired with either of the four-core Intel Core i5-7400 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 CPUs.

At least 16GB of RAM is required for this game, which is about the bare minimum you’d expect these days for a game released in 2025. If your system falls short of this, you’ll need to check out our best gaming RAM guide for an upgrade. If your PC manages to reach these specs, you’ll be able to run the game at 1080p, although capped at a measly 30fps.

Taking things up a notch to the Dune Awakening recommended specs, which requires a step up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 with 8GB VRAM, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT with 12GB VRAM, or Intel Arc B580 as standard for your gaming GPU. You’ll need to match that to an eight-core Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, with the RAM requirement sticking to 16GB.

These specs will let you boost up your settings to the high graphics preset, which should give you a 1440p resolution at a stable 60fps.

Here are the Dune Awakening medium and ultra system requirements:

Medium (1080p @ 60fps) Ultra (4K @ 60fps)
OS Windows 10 64-bit (or newer) Windows 10 64-bit (or newer)
CPU Intel Core i5-8600K
AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Intel Core i7-11700K
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070
AMD Radeon RX 6600
Intel Arc A770
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070
AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT
VRAM 8GB 12GB
Storage 75GB SSD 75GB SSD
RAM 16GB 16GB

The Dune Awakening medium requirements will require a PC that can handle this game running at 1080p and targeting a 60fps frame rate using the medium graphics preset.

To do that, you’ll need a six-core Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 for your CPU, coupled with either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (with 8GB VRAM), AMD Radeon RX 6600 (8GB), or Intel Arc A770 graphics card. As before, 16GB is the requirement for RAM here.

For 4K (2160p) gameplay at 60fps, you’ll need a gaming PC that matches the Dune Awakening ultra requirements. That means running the game using the ultra graphics preset on a PC with either of the eight-core Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPUs at your disposal.

The graphics card takes a boost up a generation, too, with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 (12GB) or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT (12GB) as the minimum here. These are the specs you’ll need to meet if you want to take advantage of Dune Awakening’s support for Nvidia DLSS 4, although taking advantage of multi frame generation will require an RTX 50-series GPU like the RTX 5090.

There’s no RAM requirement upgrade for ultra settings, however, with 16GB RAM or better remaining the benchmark to meet.

The Dune Awakening download size could depend on the system requirements you’re able to meet, with better graphics presets requiring a larger amount of available space on your drive. Using minimum settings, only 60GB of available space is required, although 75GB is required for the other presets.

You won’t need the best SSD for gaming here, but you will need an SSD of some kind to run the game, even on the minimum presets. That said, the faster the drive, the faster your load times, so you may want to upgrade to a drive like the Samsung 990 Pro, as long as your gaming PC has a PCIe 4.0 NVMe M2 slot available.
