Terminator
Schwarzenegger’s Unstoppable Humanoid Makes Multiple Appearances
- Released: August 1, 2022 / February 5, 2025
When it comes to weapons, enemies, destruction, and blood, Call of Duty: Warzone and Terminator share plenty in common, making their crossover a natural fit. The legendary character, portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, has made two appearances in the Battle Royale. The first crossover arrived in 2022, featuring T-800 and T-1000 Operator skins inspired by Terminator 2: Judgment Day. These were available through store bundles, alongside the Titanium Trials: Endurance mode. This special Battle Royale variant gave players a major armor boost, allowing them to experience Warzone as if they were Terminators, with additional free rewards to unlock.
In 2025, the Terminator returned with two new Operator skins inspired by the classic 1984 film. These included the human-like T-800 model and its recognizable cyborg counterpart, both available in a store bundle. The Battle Royale also introduced the Ghosts of Verdansk limited-time mode, a thrilling addition where players turned into Ghosts upon death. As Humans, players were tasked with surviving a nighttime version of the map, with limited vision, while trying to outlast other players. However, they also had a Fear meter that increased over time. Once it reached 50%, players began to experience hallucinations, ranging from visual obstructions to jump scares. As Ghosts, players could attack Humans and had three unique abilities: Charged Jump, to leap to high places quickly, Teleport, to move short distances instantly, and Spectral Blast, to stun and slow down Human players while disabling vehicles.

Rambo and John McClane (First Blood & Die Hard)
Step Back Into the ’80s With Iconic Action Heroes from Stallone and Willis
The crossover with Rambo and Die Hard’s John McClane was part of the ’80s Action Heroes event in Warzone. In addition to bringing these iconic characters from the beloved film series, the Nakatomi Plaza point of interest was introduced to Verdansk, replacing the Broadcast Tower and surrounding blocks that defined the southern district of Downtown. Nakatomi Plaza quickly became the most visited POI due to the valuable rewards players could earn by completing certain steps to unlock the vault. Verdansk also saw the addition of CIA Outposts and Survival Camps as a tribute to Rambo.
As with most Call of Duty crossovers, players could unlock the operators through store bundles, including John J. Rambo, featuring the likeness and voice of Sylvester Stallone, and John McClane, with the iconic look and voice of Bruce Willis. The event also offered exclusive challenges tied to the ’80s Action Heroes content, rewarding players with free themed cosmetics. One of the standout features of this crossover was the Combat Bow Killstreak, inspired by the Vietnam veteran. This killstreak allowed players to eliminate enemies with an explosive punch, and the longer players drew back the bow, the further the explosive-tipped arrow would travel.

King Kong and Godzilla
Titanic Creatures Seize Control of Caldera
Inspired by the iconic rivalry between King Kong and Godzilla, Call of Duty: Warzone launched a special collaboration in 2022 with the Operation Monarch event. This limited-time mode marked Warzone’s first-ever live event, offering players a thrilling survival experience against the two legendary creatures. The event featured life-sized versions of King Kong and Godzilla roaming the Caldera map, forcing players to battle both each other and these massive Titans.

This crossover introduced a limited-time game mode that allowed players to access Temp V, a serum granting them superpowers inspired by characters from the series, within the Resurgence map Vondel. Temp V was available as a Field Upgrade, offering players one of four random superpowers: Charge Jump, which propels players across the map in powerful leaps; Electric Shockwave, an explosive electrical burst that damages enemies; Laser Vision, a laser beam that burns through enemies; and Teleport, which randomly relocates the player to another spot.
The collaboration also expanded to the in-game Warzone store, offering Operator skins for characters from The Boys, including Homelander, Starlight, Black Noir, Firecracker, and A-Train. Players could embody these iconic characters while playing the game. To further immerse players in the world of The Boys, both Vondel and Al Mazrah featured design changes, such as murals and billboard ads themed around the Amazon Prime series.
