Atomfall offers players the opportunity to play at their own pace and in their own way as they try to escape a quarantine zone in Northern England. Depending on the difficulty settings you select, some of the most significant locations in the game may be a little challenging to find.
One of the most important areas players will need to explore is Casterfell Woods, which may not be particularly easy to find for new players. The region, in fact, has two entry points, so this guide will explore how to find Casterfell Woods in Atomfall, and how to locate both of these entrances.

How To Find Casterfell Woods in Atomfall
Casterfell Woods is one of the main districts in Atomfall that players will need to discover, and is home to major characters in the story, such as Mother Jago. Given how the game is designed, the region won’t be immediately obvious to some players, but will be important for your progress. Thankfully there are two quick-fire ways to get to Casterfell Woods – through the Slatten Dale Sewer, or by going through Wyndham Village.
Casterfell Woods Sewer Tunnel Location
Players just starting their adventure in Atomfall will likely want to check out Wyndham Village, but if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you can go straight for Casterfell Woods. To do this, you will need to find the entrance to the sewer tunnels connecting Slatten Dale and the woods. The Sewer Entrance can be found at coordinates 27.9E, 78.7N, which is essentially in the far north and center of Slatten Dale, a short distance to the west of Wyndham Village. Even if you’re not starting out, this is the ideal location to move between regions if you are not aligned with Protocol and they are hostile towards you.
It is worth noting, especially if you are just starting out, that there are a number of outlaws roaming throughout the sewers, so it would be best to, at the very least, have a melee weapon on hand. There aren’t so many that you couldn’t hypothetically clear them out with just your fists, or even sneak past them, but a melee weapon will certainly make the job easier.
Once in the Sewer Tunnels, follow the signs to the Main Facility until you reach an opening – this is where you’ll find the outlaws. Once past them, simply follow the signs to Casterfell Woods (or go through the metal gate opposite to where you came from), and you’ll find the entrance at the bottom of a ladder. This entrance will place you more towards the center of the region, whereas the other entry point will put you in the south-eastern corner.
Where To Find Casterfell Woods from Wyndham Village
Alternatively, players can take a slightly longer (but less violent) approach to getting to Casterfell Woods, which is via Wyndham Village. The village is home to a few traders, including the Bakery, and Captain Sims, a major character in the story. The village is under the control of Protocol, so there will be plenty of soldiers and robots on guard.
From the entrance to the village, follow the path past St Katherine’s Church until you come to a fork in the road, and turn left. You’ll follow this road downhill towards the water, before you’ll need to decide whether to go left or right. In this instance, take a left and follow the road along the coast. Eventually, you’ll come to another Protocol checkpoint, which you can pass through to get to Casterfell Woods.
If you get lost, take note of the street signs on the street corners in the village. These will guide you on where to go to find Casterfell Woods.
