Summary
- Someone has made a polyamory mod for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
- Now, locking in a romance won’t lock you out of others.
- This means that, in theory, you could romance everyone at once.
Choosing who to get with in a game that has romance options can be incredibly stressful. What if your heart is being stolen by a bunch of different characters, huh? Most RPGs only let get with one partner at a time, or two at most. That is, until a fan creates a polyamory mod.
Now, we have one for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Multiple Romance Mod from Nexus Mods user Nafrit lets you get with as many of your companions as you want, letting other romances continue even after you’ve locked one in. This means you can get with every member of The Veilguard, if you so wish.
A Polyamory Mod Is Finally Here For Dragon Age: The Veilguard
That’s one way to gain everyone’s approval
The mod author says that this is experimental, so you might run into some issues. However, it will stop romances from ending because you locked in a relationship with someone else. It should also work mid-playthrough, although it won’t reactive any romances you’ve already shut down.
There are two versions of the mod that you can install, with one also letting the flirty banter between NPCs play out, implying that they’re getting into relationships with each other too. In the vanilla game, there are two couples that will form as long as you don’t get with any of them: Neve and Lucanis, and Taash and Harding. Unfortunately, the mod will stop their own romance cutscenes from playing out, but at least you can still get the companion banter between them.
Emmrich will get with a non-companion NPC if he isn’t romanced, but it’s unclear whether that can trigger with this mod.
If you haven’t played The Veilguard, now is a good opportunity to pick it up if you’re on the fence. It’s included in a big deal on Steam, letting you pick up every Dragon Age game for less than The Veilguard was at launch.
