At the same time, fans also got to see the Holy Knights make use of their powers to ensure that the children successfully make it to the coast of Elbaf near the Western Village, and overall, this chapter was absolutely phenomenal to witness. With the series having just returned from break, things are only going to get better moving forward and fans absolutely cannot wait.

The Powers Of The Holy Knights Is Displayed

  • The Holy Knights Explained Their Goal
  • A Collaboration Of Powers Is Revealed

The Holy Knights are some of the most dangerous characters in all of One Piece and fans have known that ever since Dragon first hyped them up. One Piece’s Elbaf arc only went on to reaffirm the idea that the Holy Knights are monstrously powerful individuals. Although bits of their power were shown in the previous chapters, Oda went into a decent amount of detail in One Piece chapter 1143 concerning their powers. Gunko had her abilities revealed in the Underworld of Elbaf, but the other two, Sommers and Killingham, who were recently summoned to Elbaf, most certainly didn’t. Oda finally gave the fans an idea of what their powers are in One Piece chapter 1143.

Did you see the look on the face of that Giant when he got pierced by the thorns? — Sommers

Iba Iba no Mi – Sommers’s Ability

Saint Sommers finally showed his power in One Piece chapter 1143. He seems to have eaten a Paramecia Type of Devil Fruit, called Iba Iba no Mi. This fruit makes him a thorn human and he can produce thorns at will. Be it on his own body, on his weapons, or even on certain targets, Sommers can utilize the power of thorns very efficiently. It also seems that he can make invisible thorns and wrap them around his targets, as seen in One Piece chapter 1143, when he used them on the kids. When Saul approached the kids to take them back to the Walrus School, his hand was pierced by a thorn. According to Sommers, the more they love, the stronger the thorns get.

Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin

Meanwhile, fans also got a good glimpse of Killingham’s Devil Fruit. Killingham has the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin, and it is a Mythical Zoan. His main power is to manifest dreams and thoughts into reality. He can put people to sleep and manifest whatever thought or dream they have in their head and make it real. This is how he was able to turn the beasts from the imagination of the children into reality. And in this chapter, he was able to manifest a dining table, food, and even salt.

Loki Finally Passes Out

Luffy Was Able To See Through Loki

In the Underworld, fans also got a good glimpse of Loki. This time around, Loki was seen threatening everyone to let him go, but in reality, he was on his last legs. Luffy and his crew were able to see through him rather easily and when Loki was about to rampage once again, Luffy took it upon himself to knock him down. With a simple tap of his Gear 3, Luffy was able to beat Loki and he passed out.

Don’t tell me you really believe that I killed our father. You don’t buy it, do you? — Loki

Fans also got a good glimpse of Loki and Hajrudin’s past. Their father, King Harald, raised them to protect Elbaf, but it seems that Loki was always overwhelmingly stronger than Hajrudin and often bullied him. For insulting his mother and for the alleged crime of killing his father, Hajrudin was seen attempting to execute Loki, but he was stopped by those around him.

Oda Sets Up A Loki Flashback

This is precisely when Oda decided to drop the big reveal as Loki stated that he had thought Hajrudin wouldn’t be like the others and simply believed that he killed their father. As speculated before, it is clear in the story that Hajrudin didn’t know the full truth behind what happened in the past. All he knows is that Loki killed his father, but there is a deeper secret behind it all. It seems Oda is setting up a Loki flashback now, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see what he delivers next week.
