Disney Lorcana: 10 Best Cards In Archazia’s Island

Archazia’s Island introduced a ton of great new cards for Disney Lorcana.

With many archetypes giving different ways to play, it can be hard to find just the right deck for you. One of the most consistently fun is always the Steelsong archetype, which combines the bulky Steel and supportive Amber Ink types into one. Having two Ink types to work with means there are plenty of great cards for you to craft a solid deck.

10

Daisy Duck, Donald’s Date

Distracting Disruption

Daisy Duck, Donald's Date Character Card From The Set Shimmering Skies From Disney Lorcana.

This lovebird is ready to help support you by messing with your opponent’s deck. Daisy Duck, Donald’s Date is a character card that thrives off its low Ink cost of one and a bulky four willpower that blends well with a greatly disruptive ability that triggers every time it quests. This ability forces your opponent to take the top card from their deck, and if it is a character card, they can keep it, but if not, it gets put to the bottom of their deck.

While it may seem like quite a strange card at first, since the ability may end up helping your opponent search for character cards, Daisy Duck is no slouch in Steelsong decks. With a large amount of willpower at only one Ink cost, you can easily use her in the early game to not only help you see what your opponent has in their deck but also wall them off while you search for your songs and Shifts.

And Then Along Came Zeus

A Shockingly Strong Song

And Then Along Came Zeus Song Card From The Set Into The Inklands From Disney Lorcana.

Your opponents will be zapped into smithereens by the electrical might of this song. The And Then Along Came Zeus card is a ridiculous song that can strike down a terrifying five damage to any character or location in play for four ink and can be sung for free if the character has four cost or more.

With this song, you can easily deal with many threats in the blink of an eye. Since the Steelsong decks mainly focus on their song casting, it is very easy to use this song for free. Multiple of the most played characters in Steelsong decks have Singer abilities that make their cost more than four, setting them up to wipe the board with And Then Along Came Zeus.

8

Lawrence, Jealous Manservant

Needs Amber Support

Lawrence, Jealous Manservant Character Card From The Set Rise Of The Floodborn From Disney Lorcana.

The backstabbing servant gets his payback with this Steel character card that makes him a powerhouse, but only when at full willpower. Lawrence, Jealous Manservant has a three Ink cost, four willpower and, strangely, no strength. His ability is where the power comes out; if this card is at full willpower, it gains plus four strength.

Disney Lorcana: The 10 Best Cards Of 2024

2024 was an amazing year for Disney Lorcana players, with some of the best cards in the game dropping throughout the year.

Since Steelsong has the Ink types of both Steel and Amber, Lawrence gets to take full advantage of the strong healers found in Amber to keep himself at full health and hit for massive damage. In any other deck, this card would not be worth the investment since all it would take is one quick tickle of damage, and Lawrence would start doing no damage. However, with all the buffing and healing of Steelsong, Lawrence is a standout character.

7

Let The Storm Rage On

The Cold Never Bothered Steelsong Anyway

Let The Storm Rage On Song Card From The Set Rise Of The Floodborn From Disney Lorcana.

Elsa seems to have Let It Go way too far with the power of Let The Storm Rage On. This Steelsong blessed card can hit any opposing character for two willpower and draw you a card, all for the same effect. It can also be sung for free by any characters that have three or more costs, which in Steelsong decks, is almost every card.

Simple and to the point, Let The Storm Rage On is a two-in-one package that gives you two key effects in one. If this card was just one or the other, it would rarely be used as better alternatives are around, such as Grab Your Sword from The First Chapter, but having draw power and damage in one makes it great for finding all the key cards from your Steelsong deck needs.

6

Rapunzel, Gifted With Healing

The Best Healer Character Card

Rapunzel, Gifted With Healing Character Card From The Set The First Chapter From Disney Lorcana.

Taking good care of the world’s longest hair is not the only thing Rapunzel is good at, she is also an amazing healer. The Amber Ink card Rapunzel, Gifted with Healing is a fantastic card that bolsters a massive five willpower alongside a drawing and healing ability that is unmatched. When played, this card allows you to heal up to three damage from a character and then draw equal to how much you healed.

There are very few cards that can provide more consistent and game-changing healing, like Rapunzel, even with how healing-focused the Amber ink type is. The ability to heal and draw three on a beefy character who can also gain two Lore when questing makes her a no-brainer inclusion in nearly every Amber-themed deck, and it’s no exception for Steelsong decks.

5

Pete, Games Referee

Cheating Made Fun!

Pete Games, Referee Character Card From The Set Shimmering Skies From Disney Lorcana.

Our mischievous old chum Pete is here to cause some more chaos by providing you with a great Steel character who has a mean effect when played. Pete, Games Referee is a staple of annoying effects, and the reason why is that this card locks out your opponent from using actions until your next turn when it is played.

Disney Lorcana: 10 Best Dual Ink Cards In Archazia’s Island

Dual ink debuted in Lorcana with Archazia’s Island, and these multicolored cards can give your deck a big boost.

Being able to lock your opponent out of action cards on their next turn is powerful in the hands of any deck, but in Steelsong, it allows them to fully take advantage of this effect and gain a free turn to use their songs or even set up a safe Shift. It does feel like cheating sometimes when we play this card.

4

A Whole New World

Drawing A Whole Hand

A Whole New World Song Card From The Set The First Chapter From Disney Lorcana.

This song’s iconic lyrics have become essential to Steelsong decks, and it is one of the go-to songs for one simple reason. A Whole New World allows you to cause a potentially catastrophic event and reset both your and your opponent’s hands by discarding your current hand and drawing seven new cards.

This usually requires a lot of setup and investment, with it costing five Ink to use, but any five cost or more characters can sing it for free. In Steelsong decks, players often run tons of high-cost Shift characters or plenty of characters with low costs but great Singer abilities, which makes this card super simple to use when in a pinch to either disturb your foe’s hand or refresh your own.

3

Prince Naveen, Ukulele Player

Prince Naveen, Ukulele Player Character Card From The Set Shimmering Skies From Disney Lorcana.

Every song needs a brilliant melody to create harmony, and Prince Naveen, Ukulele Playe,r is that for the Steelsong archetype. This character card has nearly everything you would want on a song-focused card. When played, you can use a six-cost or less song for free from your hand and then, on top of this, his four Ink cost counts as six for songs thanks to his Singer ability.

Being able to just use a six-cost or less song for free when played and having one of the highest Singer abilities currently printed makes Naveen the king of song cards and a must-have in a Steelsong deck to help make use of the many song cards you bring. Prince Naveen also happens to give out two Lore when questing, which is a great bonus to make him even stronger.

2

The Queen, Commanding Presence

The Power Of A Monarch

The Queen, Commanding Presence Character Card From The Set Rise Of The Floodborn From Disney Lorcana.

Ruling high over the Steelsong decks, this The Queen card has strong power and the ability to buff other characters. Costing a whopping five Ink to play may be quite taxing, but luckily it is able to Shift onto another The Queen card. The ability this card boasts activates when questing and is able to take The Queen’s four strength and give it a chosen ally, as well as reduce a selected enemy’s by four.

Lorcana’s Shimmering Skies has plenty of fantastic cards coming in the set, and these are the best of the best.

What makes this The Queen card so great is its ability to Shift with The Queen, Regal Monarch. This version of The Queen only costs one Ink to play, so you can very easily get it down and then Shift to the Commanding Presence version. As early as turn two, you can buff your characters with the ability and make your opponents’ strongest character unable to hit back with much strength.

1

Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation

A Simple Yet Key Card

Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation Character Card From The Set Rise Of The Floodborn From Disney Lorcana.

Nearly every Steelsong deck has included this pivotal card since its introduction in Rise Of The Floodborn, and it’s easy to see why. Dawning her iconic dress, Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation, is an Amber Hero card that only costs one Ink to play but has a fantastic ability that allows her to sing higher-cost songs for free without having to Shift to another card.

This Singer ability makes Cinderella’s cost when singing three, meaning many strong songs can be used by her as early as turn two. Opening with strong songs such as Let The Storm Rage On so early in the game can easily help you disturb your opponents’ setup and give you an edge for the rest of the game.
