Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PS5 Version Gets Encouraging Update
The upcoming PlayStation 5 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gets an encouraging update.
The game’s PS5 version is now finally set to be revealed on Monday, March 24, according to Dealabs’ Billbil-kun, who said as much in a recent tweet. The long-time industry insider has also shared the alleged images of the game’s physical PS5 copies, including both the Standard and Premium Editions. A physical release for the PS5 port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Leaked PS5 Box Art and Pre-Order Bonuses
Billbil-kun also shared an official-looking graphic detailing the pre-order bonuses for the game’s PS5 ports. These appear to be similar to the original Indiana Jones and the Great Circle pre-order incentives, with The Last Crusade Pack—featuring a Traveling Suit Outfit and Lion Tamer Whip—being the highlight of the offerings. The main difference between the two releases seems to be the length of the early access period for Premium Edition buyers. While PC and Xbox gamers were able to play the game up to three days early if they paid for its higher-tier edition, PS5 owners will have to settle for two days of early access if they do the same, as per the same source.
PlayStation Consoles Have Been Waiting 15 Years for an Indiana Jones Game
Billbil-kun has previously reported that the PS5 port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is slated for release on April 17. Whenever it materializes, the first-person action adventure will become the first PlayStation Indiana Jones game in over 15 years. The latest Indy video games to reach Sony’s consoles were Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings and LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, both of which launched in 2009.
If the PS5 port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is indeed announced on March 24, Microsoft will presumably open pre-orders that same day. Given how the company handled the Xbox release, it’s plausible that the rumored physical PS5 version won’t contain the full game on disc. Instead, the Blu-ray may only include DRM software, requiring users to download around 131 GB of data before they can actually start playing the game.
