Begin The Wake Up Call Quest
During the Unplayable debt, you will also trigger another quest, Wake Up Call. For that, you would just have to leave the house, and a cutscene will start. This is a pretty linear mission where you will have to defeat Nagato in a friendly spar and catch some troublemakers.
When you finish this mission, Naoe will return to the present. Junjiro will approach her and ask her to paint with him. Follow him and paint a Tanuki. Approach Mikan from the left side while crouching. Stop as soon as the circle starts moving, and once it is completed, Naoe will start painting.
Following that, Junijro invites Naoe again, and another cutscene starts.
How To Unlock Fast Travel
As the game’s map is massive, you would need to rely on the fast travel mechanic. On your map, you will notice an eagle-shaped icon. That is where you can fast-travel, but first, you will need to unlock it.
There is a fast-travel point near Makinoodera Temple (it will be near you). Head there and stand at the exact location of the viewpoint. After unlocking one, you will be able to see many more viewpoints on the map. So, whenever you want to fast-travel, just hover on the icon and do so.
You can’t fast-travel when in active combat.
When done, complete An Unpayable quest by cutting the bamboo. It will be marked on your map, so head there and start cutting until the meter on your left turns blue. After that, another cutscene will start.
