How to Get All Seikret Decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds

Much like hunters and palicoes, Seikrets in Monster Hunter Wilds can also be customized to a certain degree. The range of options for our new feathery friends includes colors, pendants, and Seikret Decorations, which tend to stand out more than the others.

Seikret Decorations are headpieces that add a bit more personality to players’ mounts, and much like MH Wilds’ layered armor, these are purely cosmetic. There are only a few of these headpieces to unlock as of writing, and for those who are curios, here’s a list covering all of them.

How to Unlock All Seikret Decorations in MH Wilds

The launch version of Monster Hunter Wilds includes six Seikret Decorations, but two of them are locked as DLC, preventing players from earning them through in-game means. The ones that are available to everyone can be unlocked by progressing through the main story. Here are all the Seikret Decorations and the quests players need to get them:

Seikret Decoration

How to Unlock

Starter Trappings

Available immediately after getting your Seikret from Y’sai.

Iron Mask Trappings

Same as Starter Trappings.

Windsinger Mountdress

Hunt a Tempered Balahara in the Leviathan’s Temper High Rank side quest.

Ancient Mountdress

Complete the What Lies Ahead mission in Chapter 6.

General’s Caparison

Available to deluxe edition owners or as DLC for everyone else.

Soldier’s Caparison

Same as General’s Caparison.

While the Seikret Decoration selection is thin, it’s likely that more will be added in the future. We’ll update this guide as soon that happens.

How to Customize Your Seikret

Players can equip Seikret Decorations at any time by going to their tent and selecting the Seikret customization option, which is right below the Hunter and Palico Appearance options in the final tab of the tent menu. This feature won’t cost you anything, so feel free to edit your Seikret as many times as you want.

From this window, players change almost every part of their Seikret, from their equipped decorations to the color of their feathers and even their name. Here, you can also pick a pendant to attach to your Seikret’s pack.

The number of Seikret customization options will be limited at the very start of the game. After you successfully hunt the Alpha Doshaguma during the mission where you save Kunafa from a rampaging Doshaguma herd, you’ll be able to change your Seikret’s colors too. Speak with Nona in Kunafa once the village is safe.
