Cyberpunk 2077 is back near the top of Steam’s Top Sellers chart four and a half years following its release. This resurgence appears to be tied to the ongoing Cyberpunk 2077 sale, which saw the game drop to its lowest-ever price on Valve’s storefront.
The deal itself was originally introduced in mid-March 2025, when CD Projekt Red discounted Cyberpunk 2077 by 60% on Steam, dropping it to its best-ever price of $23.99. The Polish developer-publisher initially framed the offer as part of the Steam Spring Sale 2025, which concluded on March 20.

The bundle is currently ranked at number 11 on the Steam Top Sellers chart, sandwiched between Helldivers 2 and Warframe. Meanwhile, Phantom Liberty on its own ranks at number 22 as of March 23.
This isn’t the first occasion on which Cyberpunk 2077 found itself near the top of Steam’s Top Sellers chart in the years following its 2020 release. The game’s periodic resurgences testify to its staying power, and are a big part of the reason why the RPG has sold over 25 million copies as of late 2024. CD Projekt Red has already started working on a sequel, code-named Project Orion, which has been in pre-production since late 2022. The game isn’t expected to start full-fledged development before The Witcher 4 hits the market circa 2027.
