Summary
- Mod turns characters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 into skeletons speaking their own skeleton language.
- Over 100 players have downloaded the mod that transforms human bodies into skeletons.
- Second mod adds bone-jangling sounds to characters’ voices but still includes English subtitles.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has already had some pretty great mods. Some of them are super useful, like the mod that lets you save anywhere or the one that stops your shoes from falling apart. Others enhance the experience, allowing players to play the game with a little bit of edge, like the multitude of mods that allow you to jazz up Henry’s weapons.
I’m not sure that pair of mods that have recently surfaced do either, though, with players turning the whole of Bohemia into skeletons, complete with their own skeleton language.
If You So Desire, You Can Make Everyone A Skeleton In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
If you’ve ever been playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and thought, “You know what, I think it would make the game better if everybody was a skeleton,” boy, do I have good news for you. By downloading a pair of mods, you can turn everybody, including Hans and Henry, into bones that speak with their own eerie skeleton tongue.
The first mod, which is aptly named “Skeleton Mod-Transform Everyone’s Body into a Skeleton,” can be found on Nexus Mods. The mod’s official description reads, “Here’s a mod that can be both funny and scary. Transform all human bodies into skeletons,” and it works in both cutscenes and live gameplay.
The mod has gone through various updates, and it now includes female characters and replaces everybody’s heads with skulls, which wasn’t part of the first version. It’s noted that dogs and horses are next on the list to be skeletonified, alongside the ability to select only certain factions, like bandits, to become undead.
As of right now, over 100 players have downloaded the mod, which means there are 100 nightmarish versions of Bohemia, teeming with skeletons.
If having Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s residents roaming around as skeletons isn’t enough for you, you can also make them speak “Skeletonese“.
This additional mod adds a huge array of bone-jangling sounds used for the characters’ voices and movements, and it makes me feel super uncomfortable. The video above showcases things perfectly, as these skeleton people go about their daily business in Kuttenberg, including fighting, shopping, and playing dice.
If you’re worried about missing important story cues, you need not worry. Both the subtitles and on-screen text still appear in English or your selected language, so you can follow along, even if you don’t speak Skeletonese.
I love it all in the worst possible way.
