Classroom of the Elite Season 4 News at AnimeJapan 2025
The trailer was unveiled during the series’ panel at AnimeJapan 2025, hosted by the anime’s voice actors: Shoya Chiba (Kiyotaka Ayanokoji), Akari Kito (Suzune Horikita) and Masaaki Mizunaka (Kakeru Ryuen). Check out the teaser above.
The video briefly previews the main characters and events of the 2nd Year Arc, which will begin to be adapted in the upcoming season. It is confirmed that studio Lerche is once again in charge of the animation, but the main staff members have not been announced yet.
Classroom of the Elite Season 4 Release Date
Unfortunately, no release window for the next season was revealed at AnimeJapan. As they have already released a trailer, we can expect that Season 4 will be out between 2025 and 2026, but fans will have to wait a little longer for news about the release date of the new arc.
Year 2 starts with special exams and Ayanokoji is at risk of being expelled. Each of the previous seasons of Classroom of the Elite has covered about 4 volumes of the story, so if Season 4 follows the same pace, it should end around Volume 4.5.
This arc has not been properly adapted into manga, so it will be a brand-new experience for those who have only read the comic adaptation.
Seven Seas has published 10 of the 12 volumes of Classroom of the Elite Year 2 so far.
Classroom of the Elite Year 3 Will Be Out In A Few Days
During the panel at AnimeJapan 2025, they also promoted the upcoming Classroom of the Elite Year 3 Volume 1, which will be released in Japan on March 24, 2025 (this week). This arc kicks off with an unexpected setup: Horikita and the others from Class D are now in Class A, but they will have to face Ayanokoji, who is in Class C.
While there is no word on how long it will be, the previous years lasted for 12 volumes (plus bonus volumes), so it seems likely that Year 3 will also run for 12 volumes. Seven Seas will probably announce Classroom of the Elite Y3 after it publishes the remaining volumes for Y2.
Classroom of the Elite Year 2 Databook
On the same day that Y3V1 will be released, Year 2 Guidebook – Second List will also be out in Japan. As the name suggests, it is a guidebook for the 2nd Year arc.
This release comes at a great time, as fans who haven’t read the novel yet can prepare themselves for the next anime season by checking the guidebook. Unfortunately, an English release of this book has not yet been confirmed.
Classroom of the Elite is available to stream on Crunchyroll. It may be on Netflix in select countries.
