Summary

  • Adin Ross recently claimed that his Twitch ban will be lifted in the next “seven days.”
  • Twitch’s new moderation policies may have offered Ross a chance to make a comeback to the platform after a near-two-year ban.
  • However, Twitch has not confirmed if Ross’ case is under review.

Adin Ross has once again incited speculation about his potential return to Twitch, claiming during a recent conversation that he knows exactly when his indefinite ban will be lifted. The popular streamer was permanently suspended from Twitch in early 2023, but his reinstatement on the platform may just be imminent.

Ross’s claims come shortly after he revealed that he was actively working with Twitch to regain access to his account. Having taken effect on February 25, 2023, the ban followed his controversial move to Kick, where he has since remained both a streamer and co-owner. For over a year, Ross has periodically teased a comeback to Twitch, and he has now attached a somewhat concrete timeline for the same.

Popular Kick streamer Adin Ross reveals plans to launch a Grand Theft Auto 6 roleplay server where players can earn real money.

AMP’s Agent was streaming yesterday’s Dirty Boxing Championship event on Twitch, where he approached Ross (who was out of frame) to catch up. However, Ross’ response was picked up by Agent’s microphone: “In one week, I’m unbanned, it’s all good. Seven days from now I am unbanned.” He went on to reference a new Twitch feature that supposedly allows certain streamers to return, though he admitted he wasn’t entirely sure about the specifics. “I could be wrong, that’s what Twitter said,” Ross added.

Adin Ross Might Be Back on Twitch Next Week

The “new feature” Ross alluded to may be Twitch’s updated moderation policies, which were announced on February 19. Under these new rules, violations will now expire over time, with lower-severity offenses being removed after set periods. More serious violations, such as those related to hateful conduct, will remain on a Twitch account for one to two years. The changes also introduce an appeals process for permanently banned streamers, allowing them to apply for reinstatement after six months. Given that Ross has been exiled from Twitch for over a year, he may have taken advantage of the newly-implemented policies to secure a comeback.

However, Twitch has yet to confirm whether Ross’ case is under review, which could end up being a wrinkle for fans who have waited a long time to see him return to the platform. Ross’ removal from Twitch was one of the platform’s most high-profile bans in recent years, and lent a huge hand to the rise of Kick. Speaking of which, Ross also committed to staying on Kick “for good” a few months ago, so should he return to Twitch, it’ll be interesting to see how he’ll handle streaming on both platforms.
