Want to know the best abilities in Battle Partners? Find out here!
Not to mention, you get redeemable codes for Pokemon Pocket. While most of the cards feature Dragon types, there are a few non-dragon Pokemon in the mix. Curious about which cards pack the most punch? We’ve compiled the strongest and best ones in this list!
10
Miraidon
One Zap, Two Targets
Miraidon, being a Basic Pokemon, hits the field fast. While its attacks aren’t mind-blowing, Lightning Laser deals 90 damage and outperforms many that didn’t make the list. On top of that, its effect lets you snipe an opponent’s Benched Pokemon for 30 damage, making it great for chipping away at low-HP Basics.
This makes Miraidon a solid pick for early pressure, keeping your opponent on edge. If you’re looking for a card that can soften up threats while holding its own, this electric lizard might just earn a spot in your deck!
9
Quagsire
Hits Like A Truck
Quagsire, with its signature goofy expression, remains one of the silliest and cutest Pokemon out there—and the illustration keeps that charm intact! Despite this promo set being called Dragon Discovery, Quagsire somehow made the cut… because why not?
Its Fickle Impact attack deals a massive 180 damage! But hold on—there’s a catch. A big one. This move only works if your remaining Prize Cards are exactly two, four, or six. Otherwise? Too bad, no attack for you! Still, when timed right, this powerhouse move can take down even your opponent’s ex Pokemon. Quagsire may look clueless, but when it hits, it really hits!
8
Koraidon
One Chomp, Three Energy
If a list has Miraidon, you know Koraidon is crashing the party too—sandwich or not! As a Basic Pokemon, it hits the field fast, and its Rampaging Fang attack is downright brutal! But, just like Quagsire, there’s a big BUT.
This move demands four Energy and then eats up three of them, meaning you can’t just spam it. Still, it’s a lifesaver when you need a heavy hit. At least you’re not playing a Prize Card counting game like Quagsire, but good luck always having enough Energy!
7
Hydreigon
More Heads, More Problems
A dragon party without Hydreigon? Unthinkable! With its extra two heads, it takes up triple the space but brings zero fun. Dark Cutter hits for 160 damage—no drawbacks, no perks, just straight-up slicing. Considering Quagsire and Koraidon’s downsides, maybe that’s a blessing. However, getting Hydreigon on the field isn’t easy since it’s a Stage Two Pokemon.
Its Tri Howl ability could be worth it… or a total disaster. It lets you look at the top three cards of your deck, attach any energy to your Pokemon, and discard the rest. Be careful—misusing this could send your best cards straight to the discard pile, turning Hydreigon from a powerhouse into your worst enemy!
6
Charizard
The Power To Destroy… Your Deck!
Who invited the uninvited dragons to the party? Someone should’ve told Gyarados, but instead, Charizard showed up! And not just any Charizard—it’s Leon’s Charizard! With its Royal Blaze attack, it deals 100 damage, plus an extra 50 for every Leon card in your discard pile.

Some Pokemon cards can be extremely valuable, and these Charizard cards are no joke.
And let’s not forget Charizard’s ability—take a peek at the top three cards of your deck, grab one, and discard the rest. While this works great to boost Royal Blaze, be careful! Using it too much could burn through your deck faster than you can say “Leon’s Charizard.” Don’t be surprised if it leaves you with nothing but ashes!
5
Dragapult
When Parenthood Goes Boom!
Dragapult has always been a Pokemon of mixed feelings. It’s a caring parent, holding its babies on its head—until it fires them like missiles! This Dragapult card has the Spooky Shot attack, which is super cheap at just two energy and with no bad side effects. But what really makes this card stand out is Dragon Launcher.
You discard as many Dreppy from your Bench as you like, and for each Dreppy, you hit different targets with 100 damage. Sure, it’s not an attack for every situation and requires a lot of setup, but if used at the right time with cards that get Dreppy out quickly, you can catch your opponent off-guard and maybe even take multiple Prize cards!
4
Roaring Moon
Ancient Power Meets Modern Destruction!
If you’re wondering what Salamence looked like in ancient times, just add a Roaring Moon to your deck for a nostalgic reminder. Its first attack, Vengeance Fletching, deals 70 damage, plus an extra ten for each Ancient card in your discard pile. While it’s a distant relative of Salamence, Roaring Moon is a Basic Pokemon, meaning you can quickly summon it to wreak havoc.
Speed Wing, a four-energy attack, deals 120 damage, and with three colorless energies required, it’s not hard to power up. Don’t underestimate prehistoric power!
3
Dragonite
Hit Hard, Retreat Faster
Dragonite is the final evolution in Pokemon’s original dragon family tree. Unlike your typical fearsome dragon, it’s more of a cuddly, snuggly type. Its Dragon Pulse attack does a massive 180 damage, but the catch is you must discard the top two cards of your deck. However, if you’ve got a strategy for those discarded cards, you can turn this into an advantage!

On top of that, Dragonite’s ability, Jet Cruise, makes all your Pokemon’s retreat costs zero. This means you can easily swap out your Pokemon without losing energy, making your gameplay much more mobile. So, not only can Dragonite dish out big hits, it’s also the MVP of quick escapes!
2
Rayquaza
Not Just For The Skies, But For The Win!
Rayquaza isn’t here to break up a fight between Kyogre and Groudon – it’s here to party! As a Basic Pokemon, it’s easy to slot into any deck, and its attacks are solid. Power Blast deals 120 damage, and since it only requires colorless energy, it’s not too hard to charge up.
The downside? You’ll need to discard an energy afterward, but it’s not a big deal. Jaw Lock might not deal much damage, but it stops your opponent from retreating, giving you the upper hand. Rayquaza: flying in for the fun and leaving no retreat behind!
1
Drampa
Gentle On The Outside, Savage On The Inside!
Drampa is the gentle giant of dragons, not here to scare but to play with kids! This Dragon Discovery promo card is a powerhouse. Like Rayquaza, its attacks require colorless energy, meaning it fits into any deck. The Raging Cannon attack hits for 100, but with the right setup, it can deal a monstrous 200 damage!
If any Pokemon on your bench has a damage counter, you’re in for a treat. For a Basic Pokemon, this is ridiculously strong—just a bit of setup, and Drampa’s ready to unleash havoc. Even with just one Pokemon on the bench and ten damage, Drampa’s bringing the pain!
