This Tier List assumes that every Bangboo is fully leveled and upgraded. Obviously, this will favor the rarer S-Rank Bangboos, as they have higher base stats. Most S-Rank Bangboos have perfectly acceptable A-Rank counterparts, so you can play with a slightly inferior version until you roll the S-Rank Bangboo.
S – Tier Bangboos
These are the best Bangboos you’ll find in the game based on their overall value to the squad:
Image |
Name |
Rarity |
Reason |
---|---|---|---|
|
Agent Gulliver |
S |
Agent Gulliver has synergy with members of Section 6, especially Yanagi and Harumasa, two strong DPS Agents that can take full advantage of Agent Gulliver’s added Electric Anomaly Buildup. |
|
Amillion |
S |
Since you’ll unlock Anby, Billy, and Nicole for free, Amillion is the easiest S-Rank Bangboo to make use of. Its active skill does lots of Physical DMG, making Amillion useful at all stages in the game. |
|
Butler |
S |
Many characters rely on Energy Regen to make use of their kits, and Butler is the best Bangboo for this. If you have several Victoria Housekeeping Co. agents, you can make Butler even more useful by enhancing the Energy Regen Boost. |
|
Officer Cui |
S |
Officer Cui synergizes best with Jane Doe, providing increased physical damage and attacks when at least two PubSec Agents are on the team. |
|
Plugboo |
S |
Plugboo is shockingly good, dealing lots of Electric Damage and Electric Anomaly Buildup. With at least two Electric characters, like Anby or Anton, Plugboo’s skills get even more electrifying. |
|
Red Moccus |
S |
Red Moccus has very high Physical damage, and synergizes with the Sons of Calydon. Caesar in particular, who is already a very strong Agent, utilizes this Bangboo best. |
|
Resonaboo |
S |
Ether-based characters, like Nicole and Zhu Yuan from Public Security, mesh well with Resonaboo. Groups of smaller enemies stand no chance against teams with multiple Ether characters, though they can be hard to come by. |
|
Safety |
S |
Belobog Heavy Industries characters can make the most use of Safety, as this little helper runs into enemies with a driveable drill. It’ll buff the party by increasing Chain Attack DMG. Using a character like Koleda Belobog to burn enemies will only increase the buff. |
|
Sharkboo |
S |
Sharkboo is great for ice characters like Ellen Joe or Von Lycaon, as Sharkboo deals lots of Ice DMG and accumulates Ice Anomaly Buildup. However, since there are limited Ice characters, you may not have a use for Sharkboo right away. |
|
Snap |
S |
Evelyn and Astra already make a perfect pair, and Snap further increases their synergy, providing health restoration and Ether Anomaly Buildup. |
A – Tier Bangboos
These are incredibly useful Bangboos that are slightly less advantageous than the S-Tier Bangboos:
Image |
Name |
Rarity |
Reason |
---|---|---|---|
|
Avocaboo |
A |
Avocaboo is the only Bangboo that can consistently heal your squad in combat, which is quite helpful against powerful enemies or long battles. Plus, as an A-Rank Bangboo, it’s easier to obtain. |
|
Baddieboo |
A |
Baddieboo deals increased damage with its Chain Attack when an Anomaly character is in the team, and can provide additional support with Fire damage. |
|
Bangvolver |
S |
Bangvolver’s abilities let it build up Physical Anomaly quickly, making it even more effective if you have multiple Physical attribute characters in the squad. However, sometimes it will fail to shoot and instead launch a paintball that does nothing to enemies. |
|
Brawlerboo |
A |
Brawlerboo has decent Fire damage support, and makes a decent replacement for Rocketboo in Fire-based teams. |
|
Rocketboo |
S |
Rocketboo is a hothead that launches rockets across the field. Dealing Fire DMG everywhere is a plus, especially if you have multiple Fire agents to boost the effect of Fire Anomaly Buildup. However, at the moment, there are only a handful of enemies weak against Fire. |
|
Penguinboo |
S |
Similar to Sharkboo, Penguinboo does lots of Ice Damage and inflicts Ice Anomaly Buildup. However, the effect is not as strong as Sharkboo, hence why Penguinboo is only A-Tier. |
B – Tier Bangboos
While these Bangboos are helpful, they’re less than optimal for most squads. However, they can still support your team in combat!
Image |
Name |
Rarity |
Reason |
---|---|---|---|
|
Booressure |
A |
Booressure helps your squad with Energy Regen, but not as much as Resonaboo. However, with a Support character in the squad, Ether bubbles will generate more Energy for off-field characters. |
|
Electroboo |
A |
Similar to Plugboo, Electroboo will deal Electric DMG and inflict more Anomaly Buildup if you have at least two Electric characters in your party. |
|
Exploreboo |
A |
Exploreboo is a bit of a wildcard, buffing the party with a random effect like healing, a shield, or generating Energy. With a Support character in the squad, the effect is stronger. |
|
Knightboo |
A |
Knightboo’s synergy ability increases the party’s attack by 92 at max level when they come into contact with one of Knightboo’s Knight’s Stars, which is quite low and not as useful as many other Bangboos you would use instead. |
|
Magnetiboo |
A |
Magnetiboo pulls enemies closer and pairs well with close-range melee characters. If you have an Anomaly attribute character, the range of Magnetiboo’s skill is increased, making it easier to group up enemies. |
|
Paperboo |
A |
Paperboo taunts your enemies and lures them in, only to blow up in their face. If you bring a Defense character, like Ben Bigger, Paperboo’s Chain Attack will create a shield to protect your squad. |
C – Tier Bangboos
These Bangboos have yet to shine in the game. While adorable, their specific skill set doesn’t particularly mesh well with current teams in the meta, though they can still be useful little helpers with some work.
Image |
Name |
Rarity |
Reason |
---|---|---|---|
|
Bagboo |
A |
As a Bangboo you get for free, it’s useful, but not as effective as the higher tier Bangboos. However, with an Attack character, Bagboo can be your best friend early in-game. It’ll deal Physical DMG to enemies, doing more damage with its Chain Attack. |
|
Boollseye |
A |
Boollseye deals Physical DMG, and if you use a Pierce character, its Chain Attack will become even stronger. However, Boollseye isn’t as powerful as some of the other Bangboos listed previously. It’s fun to watch them fight, though! |
|
Cryboo |
A |
Poor little Cryboo needs love, but it’s not the best Bangboo out there. It deals Fire DMG, and it does more Fire Anomaly Buildup with two or more Fire attribute characters, but not nearly enough to raise it to the next tier. |
|
Devilboo |
A |
Devilboo is a mischievous little helper that deals Ether DMG to enemies by flying around. With at least two Ether characters, the effects increase. If you want to be an agent of chaos, this Bangboo is perfect. |
|
Luckyboo |
A |
Luckyboo is incredibly hard to find, and that’s to its detriment. Luckyboo can’t be pulled from Signal Searches, so it’s already at a disadvantage. That and the fact that it only deals Physical DMG makes it a less than ideal Bangboo to use in combat. |
|
Sumoboo |
A |
Sumoboo does AoE Physical DMG, interrupting enemy attacks on occasion. However, if you build your squad, you won’t need to interrupt attacks often. Sumoboo is great for early-game, but you’ll get better companions later. |
