For Cassidy, who plays the role of DEA Agent Susan Duffy, Season 3 of the Prime Video series will bring in “more fans” because of how the characters and storyline feel relatable. Cassidy also believes that viewers will be taken back in time and make them feel like they are watching an Arnold Schwarzenegger film, or they are watching Bruce Willis in Die Hard.

“I believe that even more people will come on board. I’ve met so many people who, when I mention Reacher, instantly recognize and love the books. At the same time, there are friends in my life who somehow haven’t had it on their radar, but I know they’re going to absolutely love it. When they hear that I’m in it, they say, Oh, you’re in it? I’m going to watch it. And I’m like, Thank you! I truly believe we’ll be gaining more fans who will stay with the show because it has this amazing nostalgic quality. It reminds us of the golden days of action cinema—like settling in to watch Arnold Schwarzenegger or Bruce Willis in Die Hard. But at the same time, if I may say so, characters like ours bring it into 2025 in a way that only enriches the show. It deepens the story, the action, the love, the hate—everything. Whether you know the books or not, Reacher is incredibly appealing and exciting to watch. The fan base it already has is amazing, and I believe it will only continue to grow. I certainly hope that’s the case because there’s a hell of a lot more in store with Season 3 and beyond. It’s a great ride to be on!”

Meanwhile, Sten, who portrays Neagley on the show, feels that the response to the new season has been “wonderful.” Additionally, she believes Reacher is one of a handful of shows with universal appeal. Ultimately, for her, it’s all about making good content, and she gives 100% to make it more engaging.

I think, you know, thematically, it’s a universal show. I think everybody understands the righteous adventure. We all secretly, at least a little bit, wish that we were him. I think a lot of people do. It is wonderful to see the fans responding across the globe. I mean, no matter where you are, people have seen the show, which is such a rare thing. I mean, when does that ever happen? It’s a very rare phenomenon. So, hopefully, we’ll continue to expand. I never know how these things happen. I’m just here for the ride, and I’m like, Oh, we’re going on a roller coaster? Great! I can never really figure out beforehand whether something’s going to be a hit or not. I just try to show up, and do the best I can, and the rest is up to them. But I do feel that especially going from Season 1 to Season 2, the audience has expanded. Hopefully, the same phenomenon will happen again. And I think this season is particularly for the fans—for the book fans—so, hopefully, that will resonate.”

Anthony Michael Hall, Olivier Richters & Brian Tee On Elevating Reacher For An Even Bigger Season

Reacher_Season3

The trio of Anthony Michael Hall, Brian Tee, and Olivier Richters bring an electrifying intensity to Reacher, embodying the menacing villains Zachary Beck, Paulie, and Xavier Quinn with commanding presence and raw physicality. All the aforementioned actors have been brilliant in their own right, bringing something new to the franchise. However, when it comes to Season 3, they hope that they did justice to the source material and that fans like what they see on their screens.

Hall: I just hope that we step it up. I mean, I know what our crew and cast—everybody—put into it, all the hard work. It took us about a year to shoot the show because of the actors’ strike, but we just want to elevate the material and, hopefully, you know, make it an even better season than the last few. Hopefully, God willing, I think.

Richters: Nick Santora, the showrunner, is going to have a hard time topping future seasons after one as good as this. (laughs)

Tee: I think we want to keep improving, as everyone does season after season. With Nick’s involvement and our collective effort to elevate the show, I don’t think audiences are ready for the formidable foe that Reacher faces, especially this season. We’re really going to bring it, and hopefully, we’ll get the audience truly excited about what’s to come.

What Happened In The Penultimate Episode Of Reacher Season 3?

Reacher_Season3

Reacher, Duffy, and Sten worked together to stitch a plan against Julius McCabe, aka Xavier Quinn. The trio received all the details about the upcoming weapons exchange and even got to know where the exchange would take place, all thanks to Beck. However, Duffy believed that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) should be informed about this plan so they would have enough people to make this plan a success and get back Teresa Daniels. Reacher was against the idea of having ATF on board because he wanted to kill Quinn, but eventually acquiesced. However, when they reached the exchange point, Reacher was ready to unleash himself with a sniper rifle. A few moments later, a couple of vehicles reached the yard and Beck got out of one of the cars.

Reacher called Neagley, who told him that she was still following the clients who were there to handle the deal, making Reacher believe that the deal was taking place at Beck’s house. The episode ends with Reacher abandoning the mission and trying to reach Beck’s house. The twist in the concluding moments of the penultimate episode makes it clear that it’s all about to go down at Beck’s house and that viewers are finally going to see the epic fight between Reacher and Paulie.

Reacher Season 3 is streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
