One of the things you can add to your Hideout is pets, which you are able to adopt. Not only are they cute things to see around your base, getting one also unlocks a trophy and achievement in the game. Thankfully, the process is pretty simple.
How To Adopt Pets
Whenever you find a friendly animal around the world in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll be able to interact with them. You’ll find various dogs, and it’s the law to pet them… trust me.
Once you’ve interacted with them, the game will remember them for you. If you head back to the Hideout, you’ll be able to start the process of adopting them and adding them to your base.
First, head into the main Hideout room and interact with the Hideout Improvements table in the far left corner. Then, tab across to the right to the pets section.
In there, you’ll see all of the pets you’ve interacted with. Select the one you like and the grid system will appear in the bird’s eye view of your Hideout. Place the pet there and you’ll adopt it. You’ll be able to find the pet if you head to where you played them.
You’ll be able to add multiple of the same pet to your Hideout, even if you’ve only interacted with them once out in the world.
Everybody Benefits Trophy/Achievement
Once you’ve adopted your first pet, the Everybody Benefits trophy or achievement will pop. You need to wait until you’ve placed the pet in your Hideout – nothing will happen when you first interact with a pet.
