Atelier Yumia features a sprawling open world split into four distinct regions as well as one of the most sizable storylines in Gust’s long-running series. It’s a big game, no doubt about it, and folks who are looking to squeeze every last bit of content out of it have a lot to look forward to.

Atelier Yumia isn’t perfect, but it’s got it where it counts.
But just how much is “a lot”? While the game is not yet out at the time of this writing, we’ve completed it in full, including not only the narrative but heaps and heaps of secondary fare. We’ll update this with some numbers from HowLongToBeat once they arrive, but we can tell you plenty even now.
How Long Does It Take To Complete Atelier Yumia’s Main Story?
If you’re beelining Atelier Yumia’s main story, then you’re skipping a great deal of the game. But time can be of the essence, so if you’d prefer to get right on to the ending, Gust themselves have said you should expect 30-50 hours worth of gameplay.
In our own experience, we’d clock it closer to 25-40. That’s no small feat, mind you; but you won’t necessarily need to be rushing. Your two predominant time sinks here are the cutscenes and the traversal of Manabound Areas, but it’s definitely doable.
How Long Does It Take To 100 Percent Atelier Yumia?
If, on the other hand, you want to soak in the continental sun for all it’s worth, you’ll be doing the following:
- Completing the main story, naturally
- Completing every side quest – including Character Quests, but also all Random Quests, which are notably swift
- Synthesizing every possible item, filling up your catalog accordingly
- Powering up your team to max level and engaging every Mana Confrontation
- Filling out the Skill Tree to completion
- Achieving 100 percent Pioneering Effort in each region
- Scouring all four regions to reach 100 percent exploration, which takes even longer
At this point, you’re looking at around 80-90 or so hours. Much of this time will be spent on that lattermost bit, as full regional exploration (which is viewable on the map screen) measures a great deal of completely tertiary content, like finding chests.
