Fortnite has continued to partner up with Invincible, a comic book series that has been adapted for release through Amazon Prime. This ongoing partnership provides Fortnite players with a great roster of skins from which to choose, including cosmetics based on the titular hero Invincible, Omni-Man, and Atom Eve, and the popularity of Invincible makes the collaboration a no-brainer.
However, the presence of Invincible in Fortnite also shines a light on a glaring omission from the battle royale title. Invincible isn’t the only comic series that has proven to be a hit on Amazon Prime, as The Boys has been a staple on the streaming service since 2019. As more Invincible crossovers come to Fortnite, the more the absence of The Boys is felt.

Fortnite’s Crossovers With Invincible Raises Questions About When The Boys Will Finally Get the Same Treatment
Invincible and The Boys Have Been Featured in the Same Game Before
- Mortal Kombat 1 introduced Invincible‘s Omni-Man in 2023, and it introduced The Boys‘ Homelander in the summer of 2024.
Invincible and The Boys have already appeared in a popular game together, which makes The Boys‘ absence in Fortnite that much more surprising. Last summer, it was rumored that The Boys could finally be coming to Fortnite, but that never materialized. The Boys is one of the most popular shows streaming on Amazon Prime, so one would assume that it could serve as the foundation for an incredibly successful Fortnite collaboration. However, skins based on characters like Homelander and Billy Butcher are nowhere to be found.
Over the years, Fortnite has been adding characters from more mature franchises to its item shop, so it seems unlikely that the themes of The Boys are the reason a crossover not occurred. Invincible is already a mature show in its own right, even if not on the same ultra-violent scale as The Boys.
There are now 24 Invincible-related cosmetics and items in Fortnite.
The Boys Offers a Treasure Trove of Great Possible Skins and Items
Between skins based on Queen Maeve and Soldier Boy and an emote inspired by Homelander drinking a glass of milk, there are plenty of ways that The Boys could appear in Fortnite, and its absence feels like a big missed opportunity. The fifth season of The Boys is planned to be the final one for the series, so Fortnite is running out of time to make a collaboration happen while the show is at its peak.
Of course, there’s no way to fully know why such a crossover has yet to happen. There could be legal hurdles, or Epic Games simply may not be interested in the franchise. It’s not like Fortnite is lacking in crossovers, but a series like The Boys looks like a perfect fit, at least from the outside. Epic Games has continued to bring a lot of popular comic-based brands to Fortnite, so, hopefully, The Boys will eventually join that growing list.
As more Invincible crossovers come to Fortnite, the more the absence of The Boys is felt.
There is Still Time For The Boys to Come to Fortnite
- Season 5 of The Boys has yet to announce a release date.
- The final season is predicted to air in 2026.
It’s highly possible that Fortnite could simply be waiting for The Boys‘ final season to arrive. With the series coming to an end, finally including its characters in a Fortnite crossover could be a great send-off for fans. This remains to be seen, but it’s definitely not outside the realm of possibility. Even though The Boys would be an exciting crossover for a lot of players, it may never come to pass. Hope still remains, of course, and there is at least great Invincible content to revel in until a potential collaboration with The Boys becomes reality.
