Assassin’s Creed Shadows Receives First Reshade Mods
Assassin’s Creed Shadows enhancements on the PS5 Pro might be impressing console users, but PC fans appear to already be experimenting with some visual overhaul mods. As spotted by VG247, NexusMods (a popular site for game mods) has already been updated with almost 20 different mods for Ubisoft’s newest title. Some of them fix issues with stuttering, while others aim to speed up the game’s launch by removing introduction videos. But there are also a couple of reshade mods that are aiming to make Assassin’s Creed Shadows look more like Ghost of Tsushima by doing away with the greyish undertone and adding a more vibrant color palette to the game.
One of the more popular reshade mods currently available is “Assassin’s Creed Shadows High Graphical Fidelity Ghost of Tsushima Reshade,” which adjusts the “dumb greyness of the vanilla game,” according to the mod’s description. The creator says the aim is to make it look more like the visually stunning Ghost of Tsushima, with a much more vibrant color palette than the original game. A handful of before and after pictures showcase the mod’s altercations, which most certainly give the game more of a pop with better lighting and improved texture clarity. But with many users already praising the game’s vanilla graphics, this mod might not be for everyone.
Fans are already praising Assassin’s Creed Shadows as one of Ubisoft’s most graphically impressive titles, with some even noticing more minor details that add to the game’s immersion. One such feature that players have picked up on is Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ melting snow, which appears to slowly disappear when the sun appears in-game. While it may only be a small feature that some players won’t even pick up on, the realistic weather system is one of the many elements that add to the game’s immersion.
