The upcoming life simulation InZOI has naturally drawn comparisons to The Sims, with its focus on managing the lives of multiple characters at once in a generally more realistic setting. However, fans of Disney Dreamlight Valley would do well to keep an eye on InZOI as well, as it may feature some elements that appeal to players of the Disney–based life simulator. In particular, InZOI’s focus on character relationships echoes Dreamlight Valley‘s in-depth character bonding system, in which each new Disney or Pixar character brings with them a chain of quests that helps players get to know them better.

The Sims rival InZOI commits to launching at a fairly affordable price and reveals a fairly ambitious post-launch content roadmap.
InZOI Will Feature Detailed, In-Depth Character Relationships
Like The Sims before it, inZOI will focus heavily on the relationships between characters within the neighborhood of “Zoi” that the player is tasked to manage. Zoi can romance one another, get married, and start a family – and, of course, there are friendships and rivalries as well. Relationships between Zoi can be charted via logs, which reveal details like how a Zoi is feeling about another at any given time.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s relationship system is fairly in-depth, but different from inZOI’s in that character relationships are mostly set based on existing interactions from Disney and Pixar films. There are romantic couples like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, enemies like Simba and Scar, close friends like Woody and Buzz Lightyear, and much more. While the player character cannot romance anybody, they can become friends with even the vilest of villains by giving them gifts, talking with them daily, spending time with them and completing their personal quest lines. Disney Dreamlight Valley players who enjoy the focus on character relationships in their life simulation game should definitely give inZOI a try.
InZOI’s Character Customization System Is Perfect For Dreamlight Valley Fans
In addition to robust life simulator gameplay, InZOI will feature an extremely in-depth character customization system. Players will be able to customize every aspect of the various Zoi they create, from skin and hair color to clothing. They can also create custom clothing patterns in order to design outfits for their Zoi. This will allow players to recreate their favorite characters in inZOI, similar to players who have done similar things in The Sims.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is another game that is known for its rich customization options. There are hundreds of clothing and hairstyle options in the game, including more fantastical pieces such as wings, Monsters, Inc. inspired ears, and more. Players can also create custom clothing and furniture items using the Touch of Magic system, decorating with everything from shapes and patterns to images representing their favorite Disney characters. Dreamlight Valley players can then show off their custom creations via weekly DreamSnaps competitions.
Disney Dreamlight Valley fans could easily use InZOI’s customization system to recreate their favorite Disney characters in the game and add them to their neighborhood of Zoi. Even some of the more fantastical-looking characters, such as Ursula from The Little Mermaid or Genie from Aladdin, could potentially be created in Zoi form. Players could also recreate their favorite Disney couples or even create new ones, such as having Frozen’s Elsa fall for Prince Charming.
Although Disney Dreamlight Valley and InZOI do not have particularly similar gameplay loops, there is much for fans of Dreamlight Valley to enjoy in InZOI. The character customization system will appeal to those who enjoy Dreamlight Valley’s plethora of clothing options, while the focus on characters and relationships may also draw in players of the Disney life simulator. InZOI launches in Early Access in late March, so interested Disney Dreamlight Valley players can give it a try soon.
