One of the many secret items in Monster Hunter Wilds, here’s where to find Great Hornfly.
The Brute Bone is also an item that can be gathered from defeated monsters, but it is primarily available in the Low Ranks, and if you’ve made it to the High Ranks, getting this item isn’t easy. Here’s how you can get the Brute Bone regardless of your progress in the main story.
How To Get The Brute Bone
Brute Bone is carved out of a defeated Conga. These smaller monsters are usually found accompanying a Congalala in the Scarlet Forest. However, if you’re in the Low Ranks and have yet to complete the main story, you can only successfully get this item by carving out the carcass of a Conga.
If you’re a High-Rank Hunter, you’ll need to accept the Low-Rank optional quest “Tussle in Pink.” This Low-Rank quest asks you to hunt down a Congalala, but you’ll find plenty of Conga surrounding it. You can defeat these small monsters without worrying about hunting down the Congalala and carving out their carcass to obtain the Brute Bone.
In High Ranks, Conga drops the Colossal Bone instead of the Brute Bone, so you’ll have to take on a Low-Rank optional quest if you want to obtain this item.
After you’ve hunted down the Conga and obtained the item, you can talk to Alma to cancel the current quest so you won’t have to fight the Congalala.
How To Use The Brute Bone
Brute Bone is primarily used in crafting certain Talismans, such as the Speed Heal Charm or Glutton’s Charm.
You’ll also need this item to craft the Doshaguma Greaves, a Low-Rank armor piece required to complete the Low-Rank Doshaguma Armor Set.
