The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered comes to PC next month, and some of the updates to the game’s No Return mode detailed this week will be coming to the PS5 version of the game on the same day. New maps, more trophies to unlock, and even a couple of familiar faces that didn’t make it through the first game that will soon be playable characters in the remaster’s roguelike mode.
The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered will launch on PC on April 3, 2025, just in time for season two of the series’ TV adaptation which premiers on April 13. A new post on the PlayStation Blog details some of the exclusive features PC players will benefit from and also explains the specs you’ll need to run the game. However, it has also revealed the new content coming to both the PS5 and PC versions of the game.

The PC release will also see more content for No Return.
Most of the additional content will be exclusive to the remaster’s No Return mode, including the aforementioned playable characters. From April 3, you will be able to play as Part 1’s Bill and Marlene in No Return. Like the other playable characters in No Return, these are more than just skins.

New Playable Characters, New Maps, New Trophies
Each of them will bring their own strengths and weaknesses to No Return. Bill is a Smuggler who picks up pump shotguns from dead drops, has stronger melee attacks, but he can’t dodge. Marlene is categorised as a Risk Taker who will be able to reroute her path once per run and has her own assault rifle.
No Return will also be getting four new maps on April 3, all of which will be familiar to those of who have played through the sequel’s story. School is the abandoned elementary school in which Ellie and Dina face off against the WLF, while Nest is the cordyceps-ridden building you have to navigate as Abby.
PlayStation has also promised more trophies for PS5 players. It hasn’t revealed what those trophies will be or what you will need to do to unlock them, but they will likely be tied to Bill, Marlene, and the new No Return maps.
Even though PlayStation has dropped the PSN sign-in requirement for those of you playing its games on PC, it has dropped a reminder that doing so in certain games will unlock in-game exclusives. Those who sign in to PSN on PC will unlock 50 points that can then be spent on a new skin for Ellie that includes Jordan’s jacket from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. PS5 players will also be able to unlock the jacket using in-game bonus points once the 2.0 update goes live on April 3.
