A creative fan has taken it upon themselves to ideate and create 15 unique Mega Evolution forms for a variety of Pokemon in anticipation of the upcoming release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The gallery of various Pokemon, which includes the likes of Talonflame, Meganium, Emboar, and more with all-new looks is catching the attention of Pokemon Legends: Z-A fans by the thousands.
The second foray into the Pokemon sub-franchise after 2022’s Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Pokemon Legends: Z-A returns to the Kalos region, which was last featured in Pokemon X and Y. Taking place entirely within Lumiose City, the newest Pokemon video game has many aspects that are getting the fanbase excited, including a drastic gameplay change to real-time combat – departing from the franchise’s established turn-based style – and the return of the fan-favorite Mega Evolutions. Pokemon Legends: Z-A also marks a first for the series, receiving an ESRB rating higher than E for everyone.

The Pokemon Legends: Z-A fan art comes from a Reddit user with the handle of keishii10, who posted their work to one of the site’s main Pokemon pages. Set against a top-down Lumiose City sketch background, each Mega Evolution Pokemon features what amounts to a Pokedex entry elaborating on their new form. While all the Mega Evolution designs are impressive, a few standouts have emerged based off of fans’ comments, including an overflowing Chandelure, Emboar in a cauldron, and a vastly more intimidating version of Aegislash, which could compete with some of the best Mega Evolution designs in Pokemon.

Another Pokemon fan recently posted their Mega Evolution designs for Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s starters, which are comprised of the first forms of Feraligatr, Meganium, and Emboar. The Mega Evolution designs this fan has come up with for the starters are vastly different than the ones featured above, showcasing the breadth of creativity that is regularly displayed by the artistically prolific Pokemon fanbase.
A Potentially New Official Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
While fan-made Mega Evolutions are always fun to look at, many fans want to know what the official Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolutions are going to look like. Although there currently isn’t any indication if the starters will receive Mega Evolutions, a recent prominent leak potentially reveals Victreebel will have a Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. With the returning mechanic having skipped several Pokemon generations, it should be interesting to see which creatures get the fan-favorite form.
