McDonald’s has officially announced its collaboration with A Minecraft Movie will kick off on April 1, with offerings for both kids and adults. A Minecraft Movie Happy Meal contains what fans of Happy Meals would expect, pictured with Chicken McNuggets, apple slices, fries, and a drink. The Happy Meal will come with one of 12 figurines based on the movie or Block World toys. For grown-ups, A Minecraft Movie Meal is being offered, which offers a choice between a Big Mac and a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, plus medium fries, a drink, and one of six different collectibles based on the film and McDonald’s icons. These six include a Big Mac Crystal, Birdie Wings, Fry Helmet, Grimace Egg, Soda Potion, and the Zombie Hamburglar. Meanwhile, McDonald’s is introducing a limited-time Nether Flame Sauce, a Minecraft Nether-inspired hot sauce containing crushed red pepper and cayenne with garlic and some sweetness to balance it out.
McDonalds Fans Can Get More For Minecraft
Outside of the food and physical collectibles, the fun can continue at home, including within Minecraft itself. A Minecraft Movie Happy Meals come with a code that can be used to unlock a digital game quest set within A Minecraft Movie‘s world on the McDonald’s website. A Minecraft Movie Meal collectibles come with a code that unlocks a corresponding skin in the Minecraft Marketplace. Lastly, A Minecraft Movie Meals bought through the McDonald’s app will give fans another code that will net them the McDonald’s Add-On pack in Minecraft for free.
McDonald’s is no stranger to collaborations with big video games and movies, and fans should be aware that these promotions are often highly sought out.
