Shiny Pokemon are officially coming to Pokmeon Trading Card Game Pocket through the upcoming release of a new themed booster pack, which is titled Shining Revelry and will be released on March 27. This new set of cards in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is set to launch alongside some other exciting new features, including Ranked PvP and a new set of special missions.
Released at the tail end of October 2024, the mobile phone version of the classic trading card game has kept a relatively regular schedule of releasing a new booster pack almost every month, starting with the Mythical Island expansion back in December. Launched on February 28, the Triumphant Light expansion in Pokemon TCG Pocket added 96 new cards to the game, including the powerful Arceus EX and many other cards that draw power from it.

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s trading system is going through some big changes as its developers work to address complaints from players.
Announced via the game’s official YouTube channel, Shining Revelry will bring shiny Pokemon, color-swapped variations on their normal designs, to the mobile card game for the first time ever. There’s no indication yet about how many cards will be included in this expansion, but a few have been revealed ahead of its release. Players can expect to see shiny Pokemon TCG Pocket versions of Charizard EX, Lucario EX, and Pachirisu, as well as newcomers to the card game like Wiglett and Varoom. A Shiny Beedrill is also clearly visible on the pack’s exterior digital wrapping, but its card has not yet been shown.

As fans may have noticed, this expansion will also mark the arrival of new Trainers and Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in Pokemon TCG Pocket. In addition to the two aforementioned shiny Pokemon, a stylized card featuring Tatsugiri has been revealed, along with one trainer, streamer and Levincia Gym leader Iono.
The Shining Revelry expansion coincides with the launch of ranked matches in Pokemon TCG Pocket, which are also set to go live on March 27, placing PvP players against opponents of similar skill levels and giving them the chance to earn seasonal emblems to display on their in-game profiles. Along with these two big additions to the game, Pokemon TCG Pocket will be adding a special set of Starter Deck Missions through April 26, allowing players to earn a ticket that can be redeemed for a starter deck. Additionally, Charizard fans are in for a special treat, as the Pokemon will be receiving a special in-game binder and display board, which are scheduled to become available on April 1.
