Assassin’s Creed Shadows Review – A Feudal Return To Form

Despite the weight of the world on its shoulders, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a great entry in the series with one of its best worlds to date.

Despite the lack of Daisho, Omizo Castle is still well-protected, so you’ll need to be careful if you plan on traversing the castle as Naoe. We’ve got you covered with the best ways to silently assassinate the Samurai Daisho duo hiding in Omizo Castle.

Where Is Omizo Castle?

You can find Omizo Castle tucked away along the eastern edge of the port town of Omizo, in Omi. The closest fast travel point is the Omizo Kakurega, slightly northwest of the castle.

When you’re ready, approach the castle from the west to enter it, as this location will give you the best entry point to move efficiently through the castle.

You also have to go to this castle during the quest ‘The Diary of Lady Rokkaku’ if you want to wait until then to complete it.

How To Find & Assassinate The First Samurai Daisho

Enter the castle from along the roof and use the narrow piles to jump across into the northwestern corner of the castle. Move south across the wall toward the right side of the entrance and proceed toward the courtyard in front of you.

Move along the top of a house to look into a smaller courtyard at the edge of the castle where you’ll find the first Samurai Daisho.

Take care of the person standing by some scaffolding, then climb it, jumping across via the walls to the next small courtyard to the south.

You’ll find the first Samurai Daisho alone here and exposed – defeat the one person sitting on the ground, then crouch up behind the Daisho and kill him silently.

How To Find & Assassinate The Second Samurai Daisho

From this southwestern courtyard, look toward the center of the castle toward the area in the middle, with a guard tower that has a broken wall you can climb.

Jump in the water, then scale the wall to the roof, being careful to avoid the window where a guard is looking out. From the roof, peek over to the center where you’ll see the second Samurai Daisho alone in the courtyard.

Wait until the Daisho makes his way over to the Legendary Chest, then assassinate him next to it and claim your treasure.

With the two Samurai Daisho dealt with, there’s nothing left to stand between you and the amazing side loot and legendary treasure in Omizo Castle.

Side Loot

There isn’t a key that unlocks any doors in Omizo Castle given its small size, but there is a decent amount of side loot to hunt down.

  • Additional Loot:
    • In the first courtyard on the south side of the castle, you’ll find a small house with two chests inside: one with rations and one with crafting supplies.
    • In the central building where you killed the second Daisho, you’ll find several valuables and chests.
      • A Clockwork Quest item on the second from the top floor
      • A chest with a rare item on the floor below
      • Another chest with rare gear on the floor below, next to resources and a large resource pile to smuggle
    • In the building to the north, across from the central building, you’ll find a building with two chests, including one with a decorative item and one with a piece of gear which can be legendary.

Legendary Chest

  • Mamushi Snake Hood Legendary Headgear for Naoe

From here, you can claim the final reward in the castle.
