European esports organization G2 Esports has received significant ‘Series B’ investment from notable investor Gary Vaynerchuck, along with major investment from the Wilf family, as per an announcement released yesterday (March 20).
Vaynerchuck, affectionately known as Gary V by some, is a businessman and author known for founding restaurant reservation app Resy, which was subsequently acquired by American Express in 2019. With his, and the Wilf family’s WISE Ventures’ investment, G2 has received a significant financial boost in their second major investment round.

G2 Esports Recieve Minnesota Vikings Owners and Wine Magnate Investment
Details of the investment were not disclosed, but it’s speculated that the second series of investment in G2 Esports could reach at least seven figures, as reported by Esports Insider.
Gary Vaynerchuck is reputedly a successful American businessmen and motivational speaker who founded Resy, Wine Library, and VaynerMedia.
The Wilf family, who operate their investments through WISE Ventures, are owners of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings, the Oralndo City SC, and controllers of real estate development company, Garden Homes.
Previously, G2 enjoyed investment from multiple sources, including ESL founders, MX Liga and Wrexham football club owners, and Bluepool, the company behind the NBA’s Nets and WNBA’s New York Liberty.
This week, the company once again joined the ranks of the EWC foundation club support program, perhaps guaranteeing money from the Saudia Arabian backed venture.
In a release, G2 Esports thanked its new financial partners.
“This successful investment round and the addition of our new investors showcases G2’s strength and value as an organization,” Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports, said in a release. “This year is our 10th anniversary, and looking back over the last decade, we’ve not only built a globally successful brand with teams that are consistently on top, but also we’ve built a valuable business that’s been profitable for multiple years. As we look ahead, we’re excited to keep building our legacy to become a next-generation sports organization.”
G2 is one of the most significant organizations in esports, fielding teams in League of Legends, VALORANT, and beyond. However, the team has perhaps struggled to maintain the financial success that would allow it to live up to the lofty expansion goals that two series of investments should facilitate. G2’s financial information are currently private.
