EMEA Masters Winter 2025 reaches nearly 400k concurrent viewers
According to data site Esports Charts, the event peaked at 386,905 viewers yesterday night when Papara SuperMassive went up against Los Ratones (LR), the content creator team led by esports personality and former pro player Marc Robert “Caedrel” Lamont.
In a close five-game series, the match saw a total of 321,340 people tune in at the same time. With other quarterfinal series taking place at the same, the overall viewership was even higher. The series ended up breaking the previous record of 292,436 between LR and Karmine Corp Blue, which was co-streamed also by Kamil “Kamet0” Kebir, the owner behind Karmine Corp.
Los Ratones is the driving force in Tier 2
Los Ratones’ participation in the competition is the main driving factor behind EMEA Masters’ viewership surge. With influencing personalities such as Simon “Baus” Hofverberg and Martin “Rekkles” Larsson, just to name a few, the team has been consistently recording high engagement from the League community, ever since they participated in the NLC, the Nordic League.
In fact, four of the five most-watched series currently in the competition all include Los Ratones, with the exception being the match between Team Phantasma and Team Heretics Academy, which saw the Greek team make an incredible upset on the LVP representative. The GLL team will be LR’s next opponent as the two will face this Saturday at 17:00 CET, with the winner heading to the final.
If Caedrel’s team were to continue their run in the event, we might see yet another record being broken in the following days. And with this just being the first cross-regional tournament of the year for the tier-two competition, we might anticipate stronger numbers going forward.
