Deliverance 2's Hans Actor Wants A Sequel Based On the Hussite Wars

Summary

  • You’d be surprised if Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s success didn’t lead to more games in the series, and many people have been throwing about ideas for another sequel.
  • Hans Capon actor Luke Dale is one such person, who recently said he’d like a sequel to focus on the Hussite Wars, calling it an “incredibly rich part of history”.
  • However, Dale does admit that it would only be made if “money wasn’t a problem, and time wasn’t a problem”, though I think Warhorse probably has both in abundance right now.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been a smash hit for developer Warhorse Studios this year, so much so that you’d be surprised if there aren’t any more plans to keep the franchise going. We can probably assume that more games will come eventually, and while we have things like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s hardcore mode to look forward to (which some fans have already accessed), talk has already begun about what’s next for the series.

Even Hans Capon actor Luke Dale has been getting in on the fun, as while he’s personally involved in the games himself, he’s also a pretty big fan. When interviewed by YouTube channel Dan Allen Gaming, Dale was asked what he’d do with another sequel if he were given free rein over the franchise. His answer is quite surprising.

Dale goes on to explain that he’d like to see another game tackle the Hussite Wars, claiming it’s a “rich part of history that not enough people know about”, although he acknowledges that an undertaking that massive could only really be done if “money wasn’t a problem, and time wasn’t a problem.”

“The stories that would come out of that, the weight and the stakes, and all the little bits of history that happened during that time would be astonishing,” says Dale. “However, if they do anything, I’m sure Warhorse will smash it, even if I’m not involved I’m syre they’ll smash it because they never get it wrong. It’s all heart, it’s all coming from passion.”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Stealth Is The The Opposite Of How It Does Everything Else

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 makes you think long and hard about everything… except how many rocks you can throw.

That would require a bit of a time skip, as the Hussite Wars began in 1419 while Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 takes place in 1403, but we know that Warhorse is more than happy to be loose with dates, since Henry and Hans are grown men. In reality, they’d be kids during the events of the game, which is something Dale himself recently described as “artistic license“.

Whatever Warhorse decides to do next, we know at the very least that it has some big shoes to fill now, as the success of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has pushed the series into the mainstream more than ever. In fact, it’s so popular that tour operators in the Czechia are already preparing to hold real-world Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 tours. Just don’t go expecting Hans or Henry to pop up if you decide to go on one.
