It takes a certain level of gentleness to be strong, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang‘s Kalea is certainly very, very strong. As a roaming support who can hold her own as a fighter, Kalea has a lot she can contribute to your team. From strong CC knockups to decent healing, Kalea makes sure her presence is felt on the battlefield.

Unlike many other tanks, Kalea is extremely agile. Having access to multiple dashes, she requires a very active playstyle to be effective on the map. We’ll go over Kalea’s skills, her best builds, as well as some useful combos for her, to make the most of her punching power.
Kalea’s Role
Kalea is a support/fighter hybrid with tons of Crowd Control that lets her stun enemies repeatedly. She also has decent damage with a combination of AOE damaging skills and enhanced targeted normal attacks.
Unlike traditional tanks, Kalea is also extremely agile, possessing two dashes and an Ultimate that also lets you reposition. Furthermore, her enhanced normal attacks can give Kalea targeted healing for either herself or allies.
Kalea’s main role is as a roamer. As your team’s main support, you’ll be on the frontlines soaking up damage. You’ll also be responsible for stunning enemies, picking off targets, and providing some healing.
You can soak up a hefty amount of damage with your enhanced normal attack healing, and reposition if you get low on health with either your S2 or Ultimate.
Make full use of Kalea’s mobility and always keep roaming around the map, helping your team wherever you see fit.
For CC and isolating targets, a combination of your second skill and Ultimate can also help. Dash into the enemy team, stun them, and use your Ult on high-priority targets to bring them to your team.
Kalea’s Skills
Kalea is a highly agile tank who can stunlock targets and pull them to your team. She has built-in healing and plenty of dashes, making her quite similar to Chou.
Kalea’s Passive
Passively, whenever you use a skill, Kalea leaves a Water Zone wherever the skill was cast. By itself, this doesn’t do anything except stay on the field. However, it reacts with Kalea’s kit in certain ways.
Only one Water Zone from Kalea’s passive can exist at a time. If you create one at another place, the first one will disappear.
First, when you create another Water Zone that intersects with an already existing one, you’ll buff your next three basic attacks on any enemy unit.
The first attack deals more damage and has increased range. Furthermore, it makes you dash to the enemy. This dash can pass through terrain.
The second attack releases a flurry of blows that heals Kalea scaling off of her max HP. If there are allies nearby with lower health, Kalea heals them instead.
While this heal isn’t much by itself, Kalea can perform combos to trigger it repeatedly.
The last attack in this three-attack sequence deals higher damage and creates another Water Zone.
Kalea’s Skill One
Pressing Kalea’s first skill makes you deal damage based on your HP to enemies around you and leave a Water Zone in place. This also slows enemies.
Kalea’s Skill Two
Kalea’s second skill is a fast dash that lets her relocate. Additionally, it has specific effects when certain conditions are met.
If you come into contact with an enemy hero during the dash, Kalea knocks them up in the air and slams them back down, dealing damage and creating a Water Zone.
If Kalea instead dashes into any form of terrain, such as a wall, she doesn’t pass through it. Instead, she enters a special aerial state for a small period of time that lets her float in the air.
When in this state, you can recast your second skill to use an enhanced version, making you dash to another location, dealing damage, and knocking all enemies up into the air. This also creates a Water Zone.
This same effect is applied when you dash into an existing Water Zone, launching you into the air and letting you cast the enhanced second skill.
Kalea’s Ultimate
Kalea’s Ultimate is a lock-on skill that latches onto an enemy, stunning them and dragging them up into the air. You can then choose a direction with your joystick to pull the enemy and slam them into the ground.
This deals damage to the enemy and all other hostile units caught in its radius. This also creates a Water Zone in the area where Kalea lands.

As with any tank, the most effective build will depend on what your enemy builds and how you counter it. However, here’s an idea on what kind of build works best with Kalea. Get any boots of your choice depending on the majority of the enemy’s damage type, as well as a Roam blessing. Any of the blessings work fine on Kalea.
After that, buy Thunderbelt. This increases your damage and helps slow enemies. Since Kalea is an extremely agile roam who can dash to enemies easily, she has an easy time building Thunderbelt stacks.
Next, if the enemy has a lot of healing or tons of shields, go for Dominance Ice to counter that.
However, if they don’t, you can go for Fleeting Time instead for more Cooldown Reduction. Furthermore, Fleeting Time refunds a portion of your Ultimate’s CD whenever you get a kill or assist.
Since Kalea has a strong Ultimate, this helps you lock down enemies with even more frequency.
You can also buy the Oracle to increase the healing from your enhanced normal attacks and to gain some more CD Reduction.
Lastly, you can buy either Queen’s Wings or Immortality Shield, depending on your needs.
Kalea Emblem
You’ll want to use the Tank Emblem for Kalea. For her Talents, use CD Reduction and Bonus Def for minor ones.
For her major Talents, you can either choose Focusing Mark to buff your team’s damage or Temporal Reign to reduce the cooldown of your skills.
Kalea Combos
Kalea is a Hero with a special focus on her skills. Like with many other skill-based fighters, knowing how her skills synergize with each other and how to combo them together is integral to playing Kalea well.
Basic Skill Combo
This will be your best combo for most situations, letting you close the gap between you and an enemy and proccing your passive twice for two sequences of enhanced normal attacks. Use your S2 to close the gap and stun an enemy. Then, follow up with your S1 for more damage and to trigger your passive once.
The exact order of skills does not matter. You can use either your S1 or Ultimate after your second skill.
Afterward, use your Ultimate to stun the enemy further and reposition. Follow this up with your enhanced normal attacks to create another Water Zone to react with the one made by your Ultimate. This is the highest-damaging combo in Kalea’s arsenal and is what you’ll be using when against singular enemies.
Basic Skill Combo With Enhanced S2
This combo is a variation of the first one but uses the enhanced S2 instead of the normal one. Dash into any terrain (or an existing Water Zone) and then use your enhanced S2 on an enemy. Continue with the first combo afterward.
This is almost entirely identical to the first one but has a longer range and the ability to perform AOE knockup. Use it to chase after enemies, to surprise them, or to isolate a target.
Pickoff Combo
This is another combo you’ll be using a lot to surprise enemies and to isolate high-priority targets from their tanks or turrets.
Use your enhanced S2 to knock up an enemy. Immediately afterward, use your Ultimate to pull them away to your team.
Surprise Knockup Combo
Kalea’s S2 by itself only knocks up a single enemy. If you want to dive into a team and stun them all, you need to dash off of a nearby wall to activate the enhanced second phase of S2.
However, there is a quicker way to do this that can surprise enemies. Simply press S1 and then immediately dash onto it with your S2. This lets you fly up and get ready for the second phase instantly.
S2 Flicker Combo
Many Heroes in MLBB can modify their skill ranges with the Flicker battle spell for an element of surprise and to increase their range.
To do this with Kalea, cast the second phase of your enhanced S2 and immediately follow up with a Flicker.
Infinite Healing Combo
If you’re fighting an enemy alone or if you know you can’t get out and instead have to focus on surviving, you can cycle through Kalea’s skills to repeatedly trigger your enhanced normal attack, healing up to max HP every few seconds.
To do this, use any two skills to activate your passive. Then, after using the two normal attacks, use another skill or your Ultimate. This creates another Water Zone, and with your next normal attack creating one as well, this triggers your passive again. You can keep repeating this again and again for massive damage and sustain.
