Beginner's Guide For 33 Immortals

33 Immortals is a co-op roguelite that takes inspiration from games like Hades and MMO raids. You must work together with 33 players to clear the levels, mini-dungeons, and ultimately a boss fight. There are four weapons in total: the Daggers, the Sword, the Bow, and the Staff. Each has its unique playstyle and pros and cons.

33 Immortals: Best Weapons

33 Immortals is an MMO roguelite experience where you battle monsters and defeat bosses with other players. Here is the best weapon in the game.

This beginner’s guide covers which weapon you should choose, how to play through an entire level of the Inferno 33 player mode, and some fundamentals of boss fighting and co-op play. 33 Immortals is not an easy game, and it’s okay to die…multiple times.

What Weapon To Choose For Your First Run

There are four weapons to choose from: the Sword, the Bow, the Dagger, and the Staff. In terms of what’s best for beginners, we have to go for either the Shield or the Bow.

The shield has the ability to block incoming damage from enemies. It will help you learn the telegraphed attacks of the various mobs and bosses you’ll encounter in the first level, Inferno. Likewise, the Bow is a ranged weapon that will allow you to stay further back from enemies as you learn the patterns of their attack.

You’ll want to eventually try out all the weapons as you’ll earn Feats, an important upgrade system in the game that allows you to level up your character.

Completing Feats And Leveling Up

As you play the game, you will start to unlock Feats. These can be found by talking to Beatrice at the center of the world hub.

These are basically mini-quests for each weapon, as well as each map. As you complete quests, you’ll earn Feat Points which will level up your character. Each level rewards you with new rewards, such as Eternal Shards, Paragon Points, and Perk Slots.

Eternal Shards

Eternal Shards are a currency that can be earned by defeating monsters, opening chests, destroying urns, and completing quests. These shards are then used to upgrade your Perks.

Best Perks In 33 Immortals

33 Immortals Perks

At the start of the game, your Perks will be restricted to those which you unlock right at the start of the game and any perk unlocks you acquire while dungeon crawling.

Our favorite Perk to start off with is the basic Attack perk, and for your second Perk, Upgrade, which allows you to collect more Eternal Shards.

More Eternal Shards means more upgrades.

You customize your Perk selection based on what weapon you’re using: Attack for the Bow and Daggers, Vitality for the Sword, and Empathy for the Staff.

Understanding The World Map

The starting world map, Inferno, has several places to explore and objectives to achieve.

Objectives

Across the map you’ll find areas marked with a question mark. These can either be boss battles, shrines, urns full of bones and shards, or shrines where you can spend your dust to upgrade your Attack, Vitality, or Empathy.

At the start of the game, run around with your small group and start to collect resources and defeat monsters.

Torture Rooms

After enough objectives have been completed and resources collected, the map will enter its second phase. Torture Rooms will open up in Inferno, which are mini dungeons for up to six players. These are very important as they have two chests available inside, which is where you get Relics.

There are two Relic Chests in Torture Rooms – one that requires a key and one that doesn’t. You can purchase a key with 100 Bones from the altar outside the Torture Room or acquire a key from opening chests.

There are two phases of Torture Rooms. These moments are marked by a large ring of gold on your screen and multiple attacks, like huge projectiles. The game will then announce that Torture Rooms have spawned.

Use the Teleport Stones to quickly reach Torture Rooms. While the game is co-operative, you want to get as many relics as you can, as quickly as you can. You can teleport to any player on the map using a stone, which means you can get to a Torture Room before other players – thus maximizing the number of Relics you can get.

Ascension Battles

After the second phase of Torture Rooms has been completed, an Ascension Battle will begin at all the marked points on the map. These are difficult boss-rush style battles that require as many players as possible to complete.

Don’t get caught in a small group, as it’s very unlikely you will be able to defeat the Ascension Battle and thus make it to the boss room.

If you think you’re about to be caught out, use a Teleport Stone to get to the main group.

How To Heal In 33 Immortals

33 Immortals Bone Shrine

There is really only one way to heal in 33 Immortals: by using the Bone Shrine located at the entrance to the Torture Rooms.

You can use it once to heal for 25 percent of your HP, but you will also receive 10 percent of your HP healed if another player uses it while you’re nearby.

There are relics and perks that will allow you to heal over time, but these are discovered as you play and will not be available from the start of the game.
