TFT x ACL – 6 players will head to the EWC in Riyadh
According to a release by Hero Esports, the players will be competing for a total prize pool of $150,000 on top of six direct entries to the Esports World Cup.
Starting on April 15 and finishing on May 18, the tournament will feature a 4v4 battle format, compared to traditional TFT competitive formats. The goal is to offer a refreshing experience for the fans and allow players to collaborate with one another for success.
The 3-stage Format explained
The ACL Teamfight Tactics Tournament will be split between Regional Qualifiers, Asian Challenge, and ACL Grand Finals. The first regional qualifier will be divided into APAC and CN regions, with registrations of teams of four starting on March 23 and closing on March 31.
The eight highest-ranking teams from the APAC region and the seven highest-ranking teams from the CN region will qualify for the Regional Qualifiers. The rankings are determined by the total points accumulated by the top three players in each team at the registration deadline. These points are calculated based on performance in the TFT Open, Tactician’s Crown, and Regional Finals over the last three seasons.
In the Regional Qualifiers, four teams from each region will advance to the Asian Challenge through online competitions. The APAC Qualifier will take place from April 15 to 18 while the CN Qualifier will be played from April 24 to 27.
The top three teams from each region will secure spots in the EWC. The fourth and fifth-place teams will be given another chance with the Last Chance Qualifier.
Organized by Hero Esports, the ACL is Asia’s premier multi-title esports tournament, featuring several esports titles in its debut year and a combined prize pool of $2 million. Aside from Teamfight Tactics, other Riot Games’ game titles such as VALORANT and League of Legends have also been confirmed, as well as other non-Riot games like CS2, Dota 2, and more.
