There are plenty of things to farm for in the endgame of Monster Hunter Wilds, and that includes Wyverian Bloodstones, a type of material that players can use to get the craftable Artian line of weapons from the Smithy. They work a bit differently from the usual style of crafting, though.
Wyverian Bloodstones can make the endgame MH WIlds grind a lot less time-consuming, especially for players who want to make a ton of Artian weapons. Here’s what you need to know about these bloodstones.

How to Get Wyverian Bloodstones in MH Wilds
Players can get Wyverian Bloodstones by fighting Tempered Monsters. Specifically, these items are sent directly to the player’s item box after they break Tempered Wounds. The latter works much like regular wounds, except they glow blue instead of red.
Tempered Wounds seem to appear randomly in place of a regular wound. You can expect every Tempered Monster to form a couple of these during every hunt. Wounds don’t disappear unless you’re fighting a Guardian monster. In that case, try to break Tempered Wounds as early as possible, just to be safe.
To increase the odds of a Tempered Wound appearing, focus on attacking one spot at a time. Once a wound is broken, start hitting a different spot that hasn’t been wounded recently. The Flayer skill will help you create wounds more frequently, though the exact math regarding this skill is yet to be uncovered by the community.
What to Do With Wyverian Bloodstones in MH Wilds
Once you get Wyverian Bloodstones, you can take them to the Melding Pot in Suja and convert them into points used for making Artian weapon parts. Higher-rarity parts require more points to meld. For reference, the conversion rates are as follows:
- Wyverian Bloodstone Shard: 1pts
- Wyverian Bloodstone (S): 5pts
- Wyverian Bloodstone (L): 20pts
- Wyverian Bloodstone Chunk: 240pts
As much as possible, save your bloodstones for until you can start crafting Rarity 8 Artian weapons. These offer the best stats out of all the weapons in the game (when built properly), and they are extremely flexible as well when it comes to decoration slots. All R8 Artian weapons can fit three Level 3 Jewels.
As of writing, conversion into Artian parts is the only purpose of Wyverian Bloodstones, so feel free to toss them all into the Melding Pot when you get the chance.
