If the hero had reached the island even a few minutes earlier, he could have prevented the death of Min Byung-gyu. Thankfully, Chugong provided an answer to the question. He revealed that all Shadows are mute, and they don’t talk, which is why they couldn’t communicate with Sung Jinwoo.

Sung Jinwoo will face his biggest challenge to date in the next episode of Solo Leveling.
Why Sung Jinwoo Didn’t Reach The Island Earlier
- Sung Jinwoo’s Shadows cannot communicate with him
- The broadcast had a delay
The hero had attached the Shadows to the Hunters and was monitoring the broadcast thoroughly. However, the broadcast had a delay and wasn’t exactly a real-time feed. Due to this reason, Sung Jinwoo couldn’t act on time.
The author also elucidated why Sung Jinwoo stayed back and didn’t go to the island with the rest of the raid team. He reiterated that family is of the utmost importance to Sung Jinwoo. The hero’s mother had already lost her husband because of a dungeon, and she was still not over the loss.
Since the raid was being broadcast, Sung Jinwoo couldn’t bring himself to participate in it while his mother watched on. The author also explained that Sung Jinwoo, who had been continuously looking for opportunities to level up decided against it in favor of staying back with his mother.
Sung Jinwoo Will Reach Jeju Island In The Next Episode
Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 12 will see Sung Jinwoo make his way to Jeju Island. In the last episode, fans saw him using the Exchange ability, which allows him to swap places with his Shadows. Upon his arrival, Sung Jinwoo’s first priority will be to stop the advancement of the ants. The creatures will not stop until the remaining Hunters on the island are exterminated. So, the hero will have to get rid of them immediately.
Sung Jinwoo will also have to give the Korean Hunters healing potions to help them recover from serious injuries. They suffered a lot of damage at the hands of the black ant, and their condition could worsen if Jinwoo doesn’t help them out.
Finally, Sung Jinwoo will need to face the black ant, the one responsible for the slaughter of so many S-rank Hunters on Jeju Island. The battle between the two will be epic, and only one of them will leave the island in one piece.
